Me and My business partner were in need of a truck after one of ours was damaged. Excellent Motor group had one we liked, and everyone working there (Daily, Peter, and the whole crew) were very helpful through the process. They worked with us regarding our buisness daily spending limit. They were willing to add in some minor repairs to get the truck road ready for us, and they are easy to communicate with. We are very pleased with the purchase and the exlerience!

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel people should be careful before buying from this dealership. A female friend of mine purchased a vehicle from them in Honolulu and had it shipped to Maui, only to later discover multiple serious issues with the vehicle shortly after the sale. What was even more disappointing was how she was treated once she reached back out for help. Instead of professionalism or accountability, she was met with disrespect and no real effort to make the situation right. Mr. Wrong (that’s his real name), the salesperson involved, was especially unhelpful after the purchase was completed. I highly recommend getting a full independent inspection before buying anything from this dealership. Preferably a inspector/mechanic that works directly with the car make and model. Based on this experience, I would not recommend them to anyone.

This is an outstanding used car dealership. I just cannot say enough good things about them! I have owned many cars and have dealt with many dealerships, but the owner of Excellent Motor Group is by far the very best person I have ever purchased from. He is the most knowledgeable, has the most integrity and honesty, works unbelievably hard, and is the most kind used auto dealer I have ever seen. This is what he did for me: I went down to buy a Ram Promaster cargo van. He worked very hard for me, making calls for about 3 hours to find a lender for me, but my credit wasn't good enough to qualify for the loan. So he showed me a Ford Transit cargo van he had on the lot which was a little older. I still couldn't qualify, so he dropped the price so I could qualify for the loan. Then I tried to pay the down payment with my debit card but couldn't pay the whole amount because of the limit on my card. I called my bank on the mainland to increase the limit, but it still didn't work. Then because of the time difference, my bank closed for the day and I couldn't call back. Then he let me use his computer to login to my insurance carrier's website, but I had trouble getting the lienholder's name and address to show on the insurance binder, so he sat down with me and helped me very patiently to solve the issue and get the insurance binder and my insurance cards and documents printed out. Then he drove me all the way across town to the lender's office, introduced me to the lender and explained the process, then waited for me while I set up my account and got my documents. Then even after the exhausting day, and even with my down payment only partially paid, he graciously let me to pay the remainder the next day, and he even drove me all the way back across town to my apartment. The next day he picked me up at my workplace and drove me to his lot, where I was able to finally pay the remainder of my down payment. He had already finished all of the documents and paperwork, and had also gone down to the dmv to do the temp registration. He also had done the safety and emission inspection, had the oil changed, and filled up the gas tank. Then after he had done all of this for me, he offered to hold the van at his lot until I could find a monthly parking place for it near my apartment. Then the next day after I found a monthly parking spot, I noticed that my name was slightly misspelled on a few of the documents. So I went down to his lot and he got all of the documents corrected very quickly, even while he was in the process of working with another customer. He had the keys ready plus a spare key, and the van was ready for me to drive home. And he did all of this over three days in the rain while major street work was being done right next to his lot. Wow! I recommend this dealer very very highly. I have never seen anyone so knowledgeable, so hard working, so honest and patient as him. The week I was at his lot, he sold 4 cars to customers who had purchased from him over 15 years ago, and now I understand why. When you find a dealer this good, you go back decade after decade. Outstanding.

My experience at Excellent Motor Group was excellent. Buying used cars involves some risk I know and sometimes it does not work out well. I bought my 2016 Mazda MX-5 more than one year ago and it has been a delight. Excellent was the only dealer where I could find a car like I wanted. I dealt mostly with the Owner, Daley, but also with other staff. All were helpful. My car came with new tires and battery and I won't need to put money into it for some time. Unfortunately for Excellent, Dillingham Blvd was torn up for construction and that must have hurt their business because it was hard to get into. I'm glad I did. After this time there is no doubt that I went to the right place. Thank you, Excellent Motor Group!
