My experience with Ferman Chevrolet on Dale Mabry isn’t as positive as other reviewers unfortunately. I decided to check out a 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro on Sunday, April 19, 2026 that I inquired about. Took the truck for a test drive and was interested in it so I thought I would trade in my very clean 2008 Toyota Tundra crewmax for this TRD Pro. John was the salesperson I dealt with and he came back with a trade in number of $6135 for my Tundra, so I walked out and went home thinking, there are a lot of Tundras out there for sale, this is not the one to give away my Tundra for. On Monday, April 20, 2026, a manager by the name of Tom contacted me from Ferman’s Chevrolet on Dale Mabry and wanted to try to make a sale happen and that was not going to happen with a $6135 amount for my Tundra, so he came back with a $12,000 amount for my trade in. I told Tom, ok, but the dealership needs to take off the protective coating that dealerships put on under the door handles and the side of the doors. On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, I drove to the dealership to sign the papers and pick up the 2021 Tundra TRD Pro and it is still in detail having the protective coating taken off. The detailer chipped the paint under the driver door handle and the passenger rear door handle. Tom(the manager) acknowledged the detailer did this and would correct the problem. I understood when Tom said his painter was on vacation when this happened, but it would be corrected. There have been a couple of text messages sent back and forth and Tom mentioning he needed to move some service vehicles in and out of the shop so I could have a mode of transportation while Ferman’s fixed the mishap the detailer did. The last I heard from Tom was May 2, 2026. There has been zero communication on his part to remedy this situation since that date. All I want is my truck to be repaired as promised. Updating this review because John, my salesman came thru in a big way. Where Tom, the sales manager dropped the ball on communication and arranging repairs on my Tundra, my salesman John stepped up big time. He was able to arrange a time with the collision center to have my Tundra repaired and also setup a loaner vehicle for me use since I live 70 miles one way from the dealership. John provided excellent communication with updates and timeframe on when my truck was going to be finished. I highly recommend John as a go to salesman at this dealership solely on his dedication to his job and putting the customer first.
