# Summary The dealership receives praise from satisfied customers who highlight exceptional sales staff, smooth purchasing experiences, and positive interactions with team members. However, other customers report significant concerns including long service wait times, incomplete maintenance work, unresponsive customer service, unnecessary upsells, and restrictive loyalty program requirements that limit where maintenance can be performed.
Cesar was amazing to work with. This was the absolute BEST car buying experience I’ve ever had. I actually told everyone I know that it was the best experience. The process was fast, smooth, seamless. I never felt pressure. Ernest Hensel also made our experience exceptional! Very happy customers here!!
Omg this place is a blessing I been looking for a car for a couple months trying to upgrade. I been looking like crazy i found it at the right time ⏲️. The sales man cesor help me alot like he actually listened to me unlike the other dealership I went to. The whole team including the manager joey nothing but laughs and happy folks to help. I’m not really a fan of the First Team company overall. One of my biggest frustrations is that to keep the “free” state inspections, oil changes, and other perks, you’re required to complete all manufacturer-recommended maintenance at a First Team dealership. So every 6 months I end up going to First Team just to say Hi and pay around $40 for tire rotations, even though I barely drive my car and could get them done for free at places like Costco or Discount Tire. The waiting area and overall amenities could also use some improvement. During my last visit, I almost missed an important work meeting because the guest WiFi would not connect properly to my laptop. I ended up having to go outside and use my phone hotspot just to attend the meeting. I also don’t understand why the guest WiFi requires both a password and acceptance of terms and conditions when the connection is still extremely slow. Why not make one of the 2 and not both? When I asked the front desk lady if there was any other WiFi I could use or connect hardwired she responded no and seemed like I was bothering her with my question…. Another concern I have is needing to specifically ask for things that should already be part of the inspection process. If a 28 Multi-Point inspection is being done, I shouldn’t have to ask for an alignment check, fluid top-offs, or for someone to double check basic maintenance items. For example, my windshield wiper fluid was never refilled and my tire pressure was not adjusted (my tire pressure light came on 10 minutes after I left the dealership). It makes the process feel inconsistent and leaves me feeling like I need to personally verify that everything was actually completed. Overall, I think the dealerships could benefit from some upgrades and more attention to the customer experience. At this point, I’m looking forward to eventually trading in my car and switching to Priority, which is a lot more customer friendly and not nit-picky.
I had my vehicle towed to this location for repair after my check engine light came on and vehicle was overheating. After spending approximately 2913.00 my check engine light is still on. I attempted to follow up with my service Point of Contact about the issue and was advised that the check engine light issue was not in the repair order. I replied advising that it should be a fundamental expectation considering the amount of work and money spent and asked for a way forward to fix the problem. I got no reply except to advise me that a survey would be sent for her service. I've owned a vehicle for over 30 years and had never known a dealership to make repairs without diagnosing an engine light issue... who does THAT?? radiator and coolant tank was replaced, spark plugs fluids flush and TPM sensors were put on but the engine light issue lingers.. and on top of that no response about having the issue looked at .. ( I'm now wondering if all of that work was even done).... NOT PROFESSIONAL
I had a very frustrating experience with the service department at First Team Hampton Chevrolet. I scheduled an appointment for 11:00 AM, expecting a reasonable turnaround time for an oil change and tire rotation. Instead, I ended up sitting there for four hours. That completely defeats the purpose of making an appointment in the first place. To make matters worse, the service team tried to upsell multiple services that were clearly unnecessary. It felt less like they were looking out for my vehicle and more like they were focused on increasing the bill. After waiting three hours, I was then told there was a leak in one of my tires, something that was never an issue before I brought my car in. That raised serious concerns about the accuracy of their inspection and overall trustworthiness. Overall, this experience felt unprofessional, time-wasting, and profit-driven. I expect better communication, honesty, and respect for my time when I bring my vehicle in for service. I won’t be returning, and I would recommend others proceed with caution. Others in the waiting area shared their frustrating experiences with them as well after multiple trips within a couple of weeks.
