# Summary The dealership receives consistently strong praise for its service department staff and vehicle quality, with customers highlighting exceptional customer care, transparency, and proactive maintenance support. However, one customer's experience with the financing department revealed significant concerns including high-pressure sales tactics, aggressive upselling, interest rate discrepancies, documentation errors, and lack of transparency in paperwork review.
I recently purchased a 2016 MINI Countryman to replace my 2013 MINI Cooper that got totaled in an accident last month, and I absolutely love the car itself (as of the 48 hours I've owned it hahah). I also want to highlight that my experience with Justin in sales was excellent. He was patient, honest, and extremely respectful—he even let me test drive the car twice. If my experience had only been with him, this would have been a 5-star review. Unfortunately, my financing experience with Will was so negative that I would not return to this dealership in the future to purchase another MINI. Here are my specific reasons: 1. High-pressure tactics: After test driving the car on Thursday night, I loved it and I told Justin and Will I planned to buy the car on Saturday, because I didn’t want to drive back in on Friday due to forecasted severe weather. I even offered to put down a deposit to hold the car. He refused and insisted I had to sign paperwork to buy the car that Thursday night or it might be gone, despite me making it clear I was committed to purchasing it. 2. Aggressive behavior: Will argued with me for around 30 minutes about buying a warranty even after I repeatedly said I wasn’t interested. He also insisted I needed to buy GAP insurance from the MINI dealership, and didn't back off when I told him I planned to purchase it through my own insurance. 3. Serious accuracy issues: He initially told me I was approved at an 8.5% interest rate, but when I checked the numbers myself, the loan was actually at 15.5%. Fortunately, I had been pre-approved through another lender and was able to negotiate it back down. He also misspelled my name on multiple documents (titling, financing) and had to reprint them. 4. Lack of transparency: I asked several times to review the final paperwork via email before coming in to sign, and he refused to provide it to me. Even though I’m happy with the car and appreciated Justin’s professionalism, the financing and titling experience left me uncomfortable and stressed. Because of this, I wouldn’t purchase a car from this dealership again. For anyone who is looking to finance and purchase from this MINI dealership, please be careful with the loan and high pressure sales tactics!
I am a first-time Mini owner, and bought it from Flow Mini Raleigh. I love our new Mini and I wanted to share my experience. From the first time we walked in the door, Nan took great care of us and shepherded us through the process. We went through several visits and discussions about the buying process and what the delivery timeline would be. Even when I changed my mind (more than once) Nan worked with us to address any concerns and focus on our needs for this vehicle. When the our Mini arrived in Raleigh and I was able to pick it up, we noticed a check engine light on. Nan and the Manager, Henry jumped into action to correct my vehicle and actually removed the required part from a vehicle that had been delivered that day and snuck my car into the service bay to swap the part, so I could get right out on the road. The vehicle that took the part out of was not spoken for, so they will put the newly ordered part into that car, so nobody suffered and Flow took great care of us and our Mini. I’ve owned Hondas, Hyundai, VW, and Jeeps over my lifespan and none of them provided the level of patience and service Flow has. I suggest Flow highly to anyone.
I got my mini in September of last year and she had just recently become due for her first oil change, with my past car (Toyota Camry) I had never gotten service done at a dealership. I was weary of the price but the experience was so worth it. Paige was extremely kind and responsive and I was happy with the oil change and how transparent the staff was (they keep you updated during the process with videos and text messages). I did accidentally pick a drop off appt rather than wait but it wasn't an issue because it was speedy.
Flow mini have wonderful people in service department. Mr T auto mechanic. Paige who was great when I visited to pick up my mini. Shout out specially to Marie who was a great help, who made my visit pleasant. Thanks to a wonderful TEAM
I’ve always had great service at Flow Mini, but my recent visit exceeded my expectations. I brought my Countryman in for an issue. The service team noticed I only had 3,000 left on my Mini Maintenance plan and proactively took care of my oil change so I could get one more change covered by my plan. Totally unexpected and unnecessary, but thoughtful. Cars are expensive, but I felt like Flow had my back.
