# Summary The dealership receives praise for individual sales consultants who provide professional, patient, and customer-focused service, though the overall experience is significantly undermined by widespread issues in the service and finance departments. Customers report problems ranging from inadequate vehicle maintenance oversight and dismissive service responses to questionable billing practices, offensive customer treatment, and inconsistent explanations of mandatory fees.

Purchased a new Camry XSE recently. Ryley one of Fredericton Toyota’s sales consultants made the experience hassle free and enjoyable. Highly recommend if you are in the market of getting a new vehicle to contact Ryley. He was professional, not pushy, and genuinely put the buyer first. This was our third Toyota we have purchased at Fredericton Toyota and will most likely be back in a few years to do it again!

Dealing with Toyota Fredericton, particularly the service department, has been the worst experience. I’ve been having ongoing issues with fuel mileage with my brand new 2024 RAV4. They have been less than helpful with this issue. I purchased the extended warranty package which came with the regular servicing to maintain the lifespan of the vehicle. I expected that during these appointments, they would actually check my vehicle and let me know if any work would be necessary to keep the vehicle in good condition. After my last few visits of being dismissed about concerns with fuel mileage, I decided to give my business to Woodstock Toyota. Yesterday was my first time working with Woodstock Toyota and they were night and day compared to Fredericton Toyota. At this appointment, they let me know that my tires, after 35,000 km, are bald and the vehicle is completely out of alignment. They also shared that this issue would have been completely preventable had Toyota Fredericton properly assessed the car during service maintenance. One thing that Toyota Woodstock also provided me was a service inspection report. I’m unsure about other folks, but I have personally NEVER received a service inspection report from Fredericton Toyota. After this appointment, I called the service manager at Fredericton Toyota, Matt Mcyntire, to express my frustration and make a complaint. During the call, he basically told me to cut the shit and tell him what I wanted. I said tires and he offered 50% a new set off tires, as this is “the best he could do.” He stated that there is no way that his team did not do their job properly and that it’s likely just wear and tear from poor quality OEM tires. I left it at the 50% off tires. I emailed him the photos of my bald tire. He told me that Woodstock Toyota was wrong and that Fredericton did not make a mistake. Bear in mind, my last service with Fredericton Toyota was in August, so approximately 8-10,000 km. He continues to state that the tire tread depth looked normal during my last servicing with them in August, and that the wear and tear on my tire (after 3 MONTHS) isn’t unusual because “the tires wearing fast is a byproduct of them being a soft rubber compound” since they are OEM. Strange that my tires were “normal” after my last service but are suddenly bald after 3 months? I surely didn’t receive an inspection report to let me know of my tires “normalcy” back in August either. He then proceeded to quote me over $800 + tax for Firestone All Season tires, but atleast he’s going to “cover installation”, am I right? I could get the exact same tires for cheaper at Canadian Tire. I’ve attached photos of the bald tire and of what the tire should look like for comparison sake. I’m incredibly frustrated because I spent over $40,000 on a brand new vehicle with warranty to avoid issues like this. I feel like a cash grab, and not a person. Matt made it very clear that he doesnt value customers or the service that they have given to Fredericton Toyota. My family has always purchased Toyota and after this experience, Toyota Fredericton is never getting my business again. I hope folks can learn from my mistake.

Had an amazing experience at Fredericton Toyota thanks to Taylor Bunnell. She was extremely professional, friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful through the whole process. She made buying our new Toyota smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable. Taylor answered all our questions, kept us updated, and made us feel comfortable from start to finish. Truly excellent customer service. Highly recommend asking for Taylor if you are looking for a new vehicle. Thank you again for all your help!

I visited Fredericton Toyota to finance my car after leasing it and have used their service department a few times. After my last visit, I noticed the service sticker on my windshield said “FOB 26” “FOB” (“Fresh Off the Boat”) is a derogatory term used to insult immigrants. Seeing that written on my car was shocking and offensive. I am a dual citizen and a Canadian computer engineer , not a “fresh off the boat” immigrant , and even if I were, no one deserves that kind of disrespect. Immigrants come to this country through education, intelligence, and hard work. If someone at this dealership thinks it’s acceptable to label customers that way, they should reflect on their own behavior. I will be taking legal action regarding this matter. On top of that, it took nearly two months to complete my lease transfer because the finance manager went on vacation with no one replacing her. Very poor management and lack of professionalism. Overall, very disappointing experience , I no longer trust this dealership and don’t recommend Fredericton Toyota. Consider going to a local mechanic instead.

Update: Taking a refundable deposit on a Rav4 you already had coming is not ordering "cars without the sales agreement signed by the client." Again, the primary issue is still that blatantly lying to customers and using the OEM as a scapegoat for your documentation fee is wrong. This is directly from the Toyota Canada website: "A Toyota Dealership is free to set its own selling price for Toyota products and services. Dealer may sell for less. Dealer Fees of up to $999.00." Telling customers it is a mandatory fee and non-negotiable set by Toyota Canada should be considered fraud. Nothing is ever mandatory in automotive. Plus, if everything was 'final,' then why was Mark on his 3rd round of pitching third-party Insurance products. _ I accompanied my friend to pick up his brand new Toyota RAV4 today, and unfortunately the entire experience left a really bad impression. From the moment we arrived, the process felt rushed and assumptive. The team immediately began walking him through the vehicle, connecting his phone, and personalizing settings as if he already owned it - despite the fact that key details were still being discussed and no paperwork was signed yet. It felt premature and a bit pushy. Please do not agree to do this until you've read the paperwork and understand what you're signing. Things became more concerning once we sat down with the F&I manager, Mark Cronkhite. He began pitching a third-party insurance package by framing it as a “small payment,” without clearly disclosing the total cost upfront. That alone was a red flag and was immediately declined. The biggest issue, however, was the $999 “Toyota Protection Package.” When questioned, we were first told this was a mandatory fee set by Toyota Canada and completely non-negotiable. After pressing further, the explanation changed - it was then described as essentially a doc fee. When challenged again, the story shifted once more to “ownership requires everyone to pay it,” meaning it was no longer actually mandatory from Toyota Canada. He then explained his store charges it, but other locations may not. You can drive 60 minutes in the other direction and not have to pay this "mandatory" fee of $1,148.85 with tax. Over the span of about 15 minutes, the justification for this fee changed multiple times. At one point, Mark even claimed that he personally has to pay the same $999 fee when buying a vehicle there, implying fairness. But immediately after leaving the office, a sales representative mentioned that staff receive a car allowance to cover this - completely contradicting that claim. That kind of inconsistency and sales tactic is extremely off-putting. If a fee is legitimate, it should be clearly explained and consistently justified - not reworded multiple times depending on the pushback. Overall, the experience felt misleading and unnecessarily uncomfortable. Transparency goes a long way in building trust, and unfortunately, this interaction did the opposite. Over a $999 fee that was “mandatory” only when convenient, this dealership lost two customers for life. Nowhere on Toyota Canada's website do you see mention of the fee being mandatory.
