Germain Volkswagen (Columbus) has earned customers for life. The employees are amazing and gave us the best car-buying experience we’ve ever had. I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to give shout-outs to some of the employees who made the experience so amazing. Jacob Ratcliff was our salesman, and he spent pretty much the whole day with us, going over every option and detail we asked about. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and he made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted without ever making us feel like we were being pressured into anything. We planned on just getting a car for my wife, and I was going to get something for myself later down the road, but he was so awesome and put together such a great deal for us that we ended up getting both vehicles on the same day. Travis Rausch also spent a good amount of time with us, going over all the coverage options and warranty information. He made sure we had everything we wanted or needed and found every possible way to get us the most bang for our buck. He was extremely personable and made what is normally a tedious process genuinely enjoyable. Lance Collins was also amazing. He made sure our vehicles were taken care of and that we felt appreciated for our business. We wanted some extras for our vehicles that were not in stock or carried by the dealership, and he went above and beyond to take care of it for us. He had everything we wanted at the dealership within just a couple of days. I know there were more people working behind the scenes to make the experience great and everyone we spoke to was extremely helpful and friendly; however, the three I mentioned made such a big impact that I wrote down their names so I could recognize them properly here. They are all extremely deserving of praise and recognition. I can tell you right now that as long as these employees are working at Germain Volkswagen, I’ll gladly drive back from wherever I live just to do business with them.

Purchased a used GTI from this dealership online and had it shipped. Upon receipt of the vehicle the interior was dirty to include trash, the gas tank was empty and the car had damage that was not disclosed prior to sale. This was even after asking for additional detailed photos of any issues with the vehicle. I understand a used vehicle will have its “bumps and bruises” but after asking for these to be pointed out to me and then have then hidden from me is an unacceptable practice. When discussing these issues with their GM Zachary LeTourneau I was advised “nothing I can say or do now will make the situation change.” No offer to even correct any of these issues, even as something as simple as a paint pen or covering a proper cleaning.

We bought a 2026 Volkswagen Tiguan yesterday at Germain Volkswagen of Columbus, and it was hands down one of the best car-buying experiences we’ve ever had. The whole process was incredibly smooth, quick, and—most importantly—painless. We worked with Kristian L. in sales, who was fantastic. There were absolutely no pressure tactics involved, which we really appreciated. Derek (Manager) and Derek in Finance were also a huge help in making the transaction seamless and efficient. We have purchased quite a few cars and this was by far the best experience we’ve had. William was extremely helpful and ensured the process was smooth from start to finish. We started the process via text/phone since we drove up from Dayton to purchase the vehicle. They were honest and up front the entire time and the numbers we got on final contract were better than we stated with. We will definitely be back! Totally worth the drive, best customer service.
