Drove several hours to look at this CTSV. Put a down payment on it a week prior due to scheduling that worked for myself and the dealership. After making the drive to get a car that has been “thoroughly checked and serviced” I find out that the transmission is junk. It’s a used car I get it. Price wasn’t right, but it was average. Miles average. Nothing was super special about the car. Just something I personally wanted. I made what I felt to be a reasonable offer on it after sitting there and pricing parts with the salesman. Was then laughed at and told the car needed a slave cylinder. Anyone could clearly drive the car or listen to it from the passenger seat and tell that was not the case. Not saying the dealership as a whole is bad, but my experience wasn’t great. Again, used car. We know the risk. But was very misinformed prior to making the trip. Was refunded my deposit.
