One might think me a little biased given I was a former employee quite some time ago. However, reviews are most valuable when they're honest. Returning as a customer rather than an employee gave me a completely different perspective, and I'm pleased to say the experience was excellent. While it's true that I still have good friendships with many of the staff from my days there, that's a testament both to it being a great place to work and to the emphasis the dealership places on customer service. This is how it went. I received a cold call from Thian. As a former salesperson myself, I actually appreciated it. He asked about my Golf R, how ownership had been, and whether I was still enjoying it. It's impossible to be negative about a Golf R. The call was brief, positive, and polite. A little later I came in for service and Jessica put me into an ID.4 loaner. I really liked it. Good cars have a habit of leaving a lasting impression. I came back a few times after that. My mileage was getting up there, and Volkswagen had some very attractive manufacturer incentives available. I took the ID.4 for another drive and the car really started to grow on me. Fantastic technology, extremely comfortable, and a great balance of performance and sophistication. You'd think the sales team would have been all over me, but they weren't. I asked for a disclosure to review and think about, and one was promptly sent over. I mulled it over for about a month. When I came back in, the timing felt right. I found Thian and we got it done. Straightforward, no-nonsense dealing, followed by a thoughtful little gift in the mail afterwards. Exactly the sort of experience I would have expected from a team I spent some great years working alongside. For me, there was something a little more significant about it all. It felt like a passing of the baton, given that Thian now occupies my old desk. Steph, Ricco, and Jessica are always a pleasure to deal with, and I was even greeted by members of the Wynia family. Above all else, this is a place filled with people I trust. Recounting this resurrects a smidge of emotion, which is why I know this review is sincere. We went in to test drive a 2025 Id 4. However, our Salesperson, Thian, did such a great job educating us about the vehicle we were impressed. Volkswagen Canada and Harbour Volkswagen offered incredible savings through cash incentives that allowed us to qualify for another $5000. rebate through the Federal government. We saw this as a great opportunity to get into an all electric vehicle for a reasonable price and made the purchase. During negotiations, the sales manager, David, okayed another incentive and we couldn’t be happier with the whole process. We were treated well by our Salesperson, Thian, the Sales manager and the Financial manager, Dave, who put the package together for us. Thian, our salesman has been very helpful giving us a tutorial in how the Id4 operates. He answered every question we had before and after the purchase. He has remained available even a week after the purchase by answering questions and assured us he will be available for more questions in the future.
