Hersruds of Belle Fourche

After purchasing a car from Liberty Chevy in Sturgis for 30k and getting the run from their service shop (16 visits in 4 months) on a known issue that should have been covered under the purchasers warranty and repaired the first time…… we finally talked to our good friend David Hersrud about all the issues we were having with Liberty Chevy and their service department and asked him for advice on how to get this car fixed. He encouraged us to take our new car to his shop in Belle and that they would do their best to help us! And boy we were not disappointed! We were met with friendly, calm, and good natured humor from both the sales and service department! In less than 24 hours we had a diagnosis and repair plan! It’s been two weeks now and I’ve intentionally ran this car hard to try and trigger the code that Liberty couldn’t fix…… and guess what!? The light hasn’t come back which reassures me that the problem was successfully found and fixed by competent, well trained, hard working mechanics than take value in the work that they do! Thank you David for having an amazing team of individuals that take pride in their work and get the job done right! I can finally have peace of mind in my new ride! 10/10 will be back in the future!

I bought a 17 GMC Sierra 1500 from another Chevrolet dealer, and not even 30 days later, it broke down near this dealership. I had it towed there on 11/22. When they finally looked at the truck, they told me it would be getting a whole transmission replacement, covered by warranty. They said it would be done by the end of the week or early next week. It was not. They keep leading me on and saying that it’ll be done “____”, and it’s been sitting there for 3 weeks now. Being a professional business, you would think they would realize that communication and clarity is key, but they do not. I could’ve installed my own transmission faster than them and I’m no mechanic. If you take your vehicle to their service department, be prepared to sit on your hands for an extended period of time. This has immensely affected me and my family, as I have a 3 month old and just had to move across the country for a family emergency. They are in no hurry.

Worked on our Buick Encore when the turbo went out and although it took a long time for warranty and waiting on parts, these people are so nice and caring. We were given a loaner for more than a couple days. Very good place to so business.

I bought a GMC 3500 from another dealership and had to travel through Belle Fourche. I knew it was a long shot but I needed the fuel filter changed right away at 4:30 and had planned on doing it myself since it was so late in the day. The service guy said he had a guy that could do it right away. I was very impressed and I am very grateful. 5 star guys
