# Summary Most customers praise the dealership's knowledgeable sales staff and exceptional customer service, with particular recognition for their professionalism and personalized attention throughout the purchasing process. However, experiences vary, with some customers reporting follow-up issues, vehicle quality concerns, and inconsistent resolution processes, though ownership involvement has led to positive outcomes in some cases.
I have to say, the customer service with Ethan Brown (Sales) Scott Langin (owner) and the service staff at this dealership is at a level that eclipses most of my dealership experiences and truly is hard to find this day and age. I don’t usually leave reviews but the way I have been treated and truly looked after warrants a 6⭐️ review. Keep up the great work.
Just purchased my first Chevrolet from Ethan at Hillside and it was a fantastic experience all around. Ethan is extremely knowledgable and professional and really knows his stuff about all the different models and options offered. He helped me find the perfect vehicle and I’m so happy to have taken my 2026 Equinox RS home yesterday. Randy in Finance was fantastic as well, making sure all the documents were explained and was incredibly kind and personable. I would recommend Hillside (and specifically, Ethan) to anyone looking for a new vehicle. 🚗
I would of loved to have given this place my buisness, had a ram truck i was looking to trade in. I went in to get it appraised, buddy said he would call me the next day, a week later no phone call. It doesn't matter if someone is 20 or 80 everyone should be treated with respect. It's simple I wasn't respected here both by the way the sales man treated me in store and the lack of phone call. So I dont plan on buying any vechile from them. Id rather go to summerside or go off island and give them mu buisness.
I purchased a 2015 Kia Soul from this dealership in June 2025. The vehicle had a valid inspection at the time of sale, however mechanical issues began the day after purchase, including a check engine light and heat seat not working. Since then, I have had to complete multiple repairs, including tie rod replacement, wheel alignment, and a purge solenoid, with additional issues still ongoing. I have also incurred rental vehicle costs and experienced several days of lost work as a result. As a business owner, this has had a direct and ongoing financial impact on my ability to operate. The timing and extent of these issues occurring essentially right after purchase, raise serious concerns about the condition of the vehicle at the time of sale. Over the past several days, I made multiple attempts to resolve this situation directly with the dealership general manager. While my case was acknowledged and repeatedly described as “escalated” and “a priority,” no concrete resolution or clear timeline was provided. I was specifically advised that I would receive a clear response within a defined timeframe, which was not respected. Instead, I received repeated similar responses without meaningful progress. Following further communication, the dealership confirmed that their position remains unchanged. A one-time $500 “goodwill” offer was presented as the final resolution, with no willingness to provide additional assistance, contribute meaningfully to repairs, or consider alternative solutions such as vehicle replacement or trade-in support. Given the extent of the issues, the immediate timing after purchase, and the financial impact involved, this offer does not reasonably reflect the situation. Screenshots are attached showing repeated assurances of escalation, lack of follow-through, and the dealership’s final position. This situation has had a significant and ongoing impact on both my business operations and daily life. I remain open to a fair and reasonable resolution, however based on the current position taken, I have begun pursuing formal avenues to address this matter. Update (April 2, 2026): As of today, there has been no follow-up or response from the dealership following my last communication and public review. I remain open to a fair resolution, however I am continuing to pursue formal avenues to address this matter. UPDATE (April 13th 2026): Following escalation to dealership ownership, Hillside Chevrolet worked with me to reach a financial resolution and provided $1300 toward repair and rental costs. I appreciate that management ultimately stepped in, took the matter seriously, and followed through on their commitment. While the situation was difficult at first, I am satisfied that a fair effort was made to help resolve it professionally
Can’t say enough good about the staff at Hillside. They were very helpful and made things easy when it came to purchasing a vehicle. They explained the process from start to finish, answered any and all questioned I had, and their service was above and beyond.
