Honda of Hackettstown

Easy experience. Dealt with Mark. This was 06/2025. Was originally looking for a new vehicle for my Mother, and a certified pre-owned for myself. Mark let me know about a 2022 Accord they just got in stock that was still brand new. Long story short, I left with that car later that day for an absurd price. While it wouldn’t have been my choice of color combo, I can’t argue with the value. Just tapped over 31,000 miles and the car has been flawless. They didn’t have the right trim/colors my mother was looking for that day,(only black on black will due 😅) but when I came to pick my plates up for my car a week or so later, there was a black on black 2025 CR-V EX-L AWD sitting out front. I called my mother, we sat back down with Mark later that day and left with that CR-V by the end of the day. That vehicle now has 19,000 miles and has also been flawless. Not a single negative to say about either vehicle or the processes involved in purchasing. Service has been easy to schedule and always on point. Honda makes it pretty easy when it comes to selecting trims and options which really simplifies the entire buying process. At the time I wasn’t sold on the Hybrid powertrains but now that I’ve done more research, and have more experience with them, I’m definitely buying either an Accord EX-L or Touring hybrids, and my mothers next will be a CRV hybrid as well. This was the worst experience we’ve ever had with a dealership for simple maintenance. Our car needed two new tires, generally no big deal. We brought the car in on Friday and they diagnosed the issue and stated they didn’t have the tires in stock. Annoying, but okay. We had the car back there on Monday morning. Changing two new tires took 2.5 hours. About an hour and a half in they told us that it was almost ready- it was not. An hour later the bill was $900 for two tires and an alignment which was significantly higher than what we were quoted on Friday. When questioned they stated that it was for “extra labor” but when pushed they weren’t able to explain what that extra labor was for. There are much better Honda Dealers in the area to work with. Hackettstown Honda is our local dealer so I had high hopes, but after two trips, billing issues, long wait times with inaccurate estimates, and the fact they they couldn’t explain charges we won’t be going back. I would recommend the dealership in Denville or Newton. They aren’t much further away and their customer experience is significantly better.

I can't say enough good things about my experience here. Khalil was super knowledgeable, answered all questions with patience, and never tried to pressure me. He hooked us up with a solid deal and handled all the paperwork clean. Buying our new Kia Carnival was one of the best car-buying experiences I've ever had.
