The dealership receives consistently high praise for its sales team's professionalism, transparency, and ability to facilitate smooth purchasing experiences with fair pricing and favorable financing options. However, service department experiences are significantly more problematic, with customers reporting damage to vehicles during repairs, disputed diagnostic findings, and alleged falsification of service records.
Took my car to the service center on Friday 3/13 at 7am to have some repairs done through my warranty. Which didn’t cost anything.. until I went back at 5:20pm (DURING BUSINESS HOURS) to pick my car up and I noticed my tail light was missing and the pieces were scattered through the parking lot. I got told they had NO cameras outside the service center parking area to be able to check and see what happened. My car wasn’t even parked in a real parking spot, it was all the way to the left closest to the showcase area where they have expensive cars inside glass windows. After I talked to someone on Monday when they opened they said “the cameras were down for a few hours” during the time my car was in their possession. As I got told from multiple people they didn’t have cameras to see what happened. Which makes no sense. Apparently because they checked the “bay” cameras and noticed my taillight was intact as they were leaving the bay, they cant tell me what happened after. I will never use their services again because now I am reliable for damages although my car was not in my care and was parked in an illegal way in the parking lot near a super tight squeeze for anyone to get through.
Excellent service and a very smooth buying process. The team was friendly, professional, and transparent about all details. They took the time to answer my questions and ensured I was comfortable with my decision. The pricing was fair, and everything was completed efficiently. I highly recommend this dealership.
Thank you Mathew and Nick for the best vehicle purchase experience. Mathew completely understood what I wanted and not settle for a vehicle I really didnt want. Even though I had pre-approval with my own financial institution, Nick was able to get me a better financial deal that just brought it all home for me. If youre looking for a new vehicle Jeff Schmitt is the place to go and be sure to ask for Mathew Roseberry and Nick Hartwig. Thanks again guys, I really love my truck🥰
Thank you to all of the wonderful team at Jeff Schmitt Auto Group! Rick Brown was our salesman and he was very informative. Kelley Grody was our finance specialist and she was knowledgeable and supportive! My fiancee and I drove off in the truck of our dreams. We had a wonderful experience and we highly recommend buying your car or truck from Jeff Schmitt Auto.
Went in for my first oil change /tire rotation on my 2026 Chevy EQUINOX. Did a Maintenance check on my vehicle prior to entering no issues/ no lights. Did a check on my Chevrolet app mobile..showed no issues NO LIGHTS! My vehicle was inspected by Levi before taken to back for oil change...no engine lights mentioned. As soon as it goes back, the tech told Levi I had a engine light on? Levi came out and told me..that i had a code for a Mass Air flow bad due to engine light...TOTAL BS!! I told him there was ABSOLUTELY NO LIGHT ON! So at that time they never showed me I had a light on...just said that if they run a diagnostic and find out it's outside of warranty replacement guidelines that i would be responsible..such as squirrel ate my wiring etc...I said ok..I agree to run the diagnostic..even though I knew there wasnt any issues or lights. They supposedly took my Mass Air flow Sensor out put Electric grease in the connector and no issues now.. none detected! Im ok with that...what I'm not ok with is...They lied on invoice and put: CUSTOMER SAID.. ENGINE LIGHT IS ON SOLID???!!!! WHICH IS COMPLETE LIE! I called back up to Levi once I got home...He said in order for GM to COMPLY they have to put that!! Comply for what?? If I truly had a light on...im under warranty..I've got got it in July! Records of vehicle with dealers stay on the vin# for as long you own your vehicle. I did not want that on my record being a new vehicle if it wasn't true! I went back up there...to see if they could put notes in system that I as the CUSTOMER did not say that...that it was a mistake! They said they will not do that! Went over this with TRAVIS..which when I told him they are lying up there on invoices..that it wasnt right...He ask me to leave!! I have made several calls to corporate concerning this false information on invoices they are making. Calls to GM..will also be considered!! Look at your invoices ppl..dont allow them to make up false diagnostic reports!
