Jim Ellis Cadillac

I would not recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. The employees of this dealership are unethical. After several weeks of looking, I located a used CERTIFIED 2023 escalade at Jim Ellis. After preliminary negotiations via phone and email (including asking specifically about dents, body damage, scratches, etc), I drove to Atlanta from Orlando to look at the car and potentially complete the purchase. I closely inspected the car and test drove it. There were a couple of issues the sales consultant (Alex Lagrow) did not disclose (tear in the headliner and "creases" in the chrome trim piece on the front bumper), but I chose to go through with the purchase. Based on my experience, those issues would be relatively easy to fix. I did take pictures of the vehicle and specifically the front bumper while the vehicle was on the lot before I completed the purchase. When I arrived back to Orlando, we noticed more damage to the vehicle including a subtle dent in the bumper, vertical crack in the fog light, and scrape to the bottom of the bumper. The front bumper was also slightly misaligned. I was unable to appreciate these other areas when the car was on the lot at the dealership based on how the vehicle was positioned relative to the sun (and the fact that it was later in the day). I should also note the Carfax report did not show any accidents on the history (which is not an uncommon occurrence). I contacted the sales manager (Justin Perlino) after numerous attempts. He said the damage was not present when the car was at the dealership and happened on my return trip to Orlando despite me sharing the pictures that I took before I drove the car off their lot. He denied any level of wrongdoing and said there was nothing they could do. He clearly was aware of the above issues because during the course of our conversation, he stated that the vehicle was already significantly discounted when I asked for additional money to fix the damages. I have notified the Georgia Better Business Bureau and initiated legal action, which will hopefully protect future consumers. If you do choose to buy a car at this dealership, then assume they are trying to hide something from you just like they did to me.

Jim Ellis Cadillac is the most wonderful dealership. I just bought my very first Cadillac and my experience was excellent. Jamahri Gaines was my salesperson and I highly recommend him. Jamahri is welcoming, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable regarding the different vehicles. He helped me select the best Cadillac for my needs and he gave me a great price. Great Cadillac dealership, recently bought a Lyriq from them. They will give you the best price possible that they can do on any cars, and have very positive and caring staff!

Overall great experience purchasing my Cadillac VISTIQ from Jim Ellis Cadillac. Zane and Jake were great. No add-ons bundled or other pricing shenanigans. I would give it a 9/10 overall. Dealership purchases still take too long between all the negotiations and various stages. CarMax has spoiled us on purchase efficiency. Fix that and 10/10
