# Summary The dealership receives praise from most customers for attentive sales staff who provide patient, knowledgeable, and enjoyable service throughout the purchasing process. However, one customer reported serious quality control issues with certified pre-owned vehicles, unresolved mechanical problems, and unresponsive management when seeking accountability and compensation.

Shamera was nothing less than amazing! I got my dream car thanks to her! 🥰 She was straightforward about everything and very knowledgeable about my specific vehicle. Test drive wasn’t boring at all, we jammed out! 🙌🏽 She made sure my car was gas up and cleaned as well as offering snacks and such! Such an amazing experience! 10/10 will recommend! Thanks ❤️

I recently bought a 2026 Sorento X-Line prestige and i absolutely love it!! Kallie was absolutely amazing, I’ve never had such a great car buying experience. As a woman, it was so great to have worked along side a female sales representative. She was so professional and we had FUN! (Which in my experience of car buying, having fun is rare!) Go buy your next car with Kallie at Jim Shorkey Gainesville!

My wife and I purchased two consecutive Certified Pre-Owned vehicles from Jim Shorkey Kia, and both vehicles had serious problems almost immediately after purchase that should have been caught before they were sold, including a bad clutch, a stored check engine code, botched body work, and a sunroof that would get stuck open and not close without constant effort for 30 minutes. We spent months trying to work with the dealership through service visits, meetings with management, and multiple requests to resolve the issues fairly. During this time, General Manager Todd Holland admitted that problems can sometimes be missed during the 165-point Preowned Certification process. Even with that acknowledgment, the dealership did not offer a meaningful solution, fair compensation, or reasonable trade assistance for the continued issues we experienced with the vehicles we purchased. The situation became even more concerning when our current vehicle from the dealership left my wife and children stranded waiting for a tow truck because of wiring issues. On top of that, we brought the vehicle in twice for recalled part replacements, only to wait more than two hours each time before being told the dealership did not actually have the parts in stock, despite previously telling us they did. The only “solution” we were given was to purchase another vehicle that was newer, had fewer miles, or a more expensive model instead of seeing real accountability for the repeated issues connected to their Certified Pre-Owned inventory. Desperate for a reliable vehicle for my wife and kids, we test drove one of the recommended replacement vehicles. The test drive also showed obvious mechanical problems at highway speeds, which completely destroyed our confidence in the dealership’s inspection and CPO certification standards. The most disappointing part of our experience was the lack of accountability, communication, and customer service from management. We stayed patient and cooperative. We gave the dealership every opportunity to make things right, to no avail. With hopes of reaching the owner to discuss our options, the only contact information we were given for Jim Shorkey himself was an email address. That email is either not current, not checked with any regularity, or he just chose to leave our messages unanswered. In the end, we were left dealing with the financial loss, stress, and frustration ourselves. The only redeeming part of this overall terrible experience was working with Shareef, Jacob, and Shamira in sales, along with Dillon in the service department. They were professional, kind, and as helpful as possible throughout the process. Based on our overall experience, and despite the efforts of those employees, we DO NOT recommend Jim Shorkey Kia for purchasing a vehicle. This has been the worst experience we have ever had with any car dealership, or involving any major purchase.

Hands down best customer service. I had recently walked away from buying from a different dealer. I'm so glad I did. From looking online to sales calling back, all the way to purchase was a wonderful experience. Thank you to my sale rep Tomme! Tomme was so knowledgeable and helpful. He was not pushy, listened to what I wanted and made it all happen easily. I want to thank the financial guys especially Shareff as well. From start to finish the best car buying experience. I will recommend all my friends to go with this company. I will also be using them for any future purchases. Thank you team!!
