# Summary The dealership receives polarized feedback, with customers praising the professional, transparent service and smooth buying experience, while others report significant post-purchase issues—including undisclosed mechanical problems and alleged bait-and-switch tactics—with mixed results in management's willingness to address concerns. The gap between positive sales experiences and negative after-sale support suggests inconsistent service quality depending on individual staff and circumstances.
Excellent experience purchasing my vehicle. The staff was professional, respectful, and transparent throughout the process. They explained all details clearly and made everything simple and stress-free. The car was exactly as described and in great condition. I appreciate the honest service and would recommend this dealership to others.
Used kbb to get a value for my car, it asked if you wanted offers from local dealers, I said yes. Received an offer from Ken Garfield Used Cars in West Valley. I countered their offer. Received a text from Alex to come in and have them look at my car to see what they could do on the counter. Made an appointment, they offered me less than 1/3 of their original offer, said the car was too old. If that was the case, why make an offer in the first place. Strictly bait and switch business tactics. Low class, wasted my time. Lost me as a customer forever as I had previously bought two other vehicles from the Ken Garff dealership family.
Smooth and stress-free car buying experience. The team was polite, knowledgeable, and transparent about pricing and features. They answered all my questions patiently and made sure I felt confident before finalizing the deal. The paperwork was handled quickly and efficiently. I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend this dealership.
My experience with the salesperson at this dealership was great, and I ultimately purchased a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban from them. Due to my work schedule, I wasn’t able to fully inspect the vehicle myself before taking it home, so I relied on the dealership’s inspection and trusted that the vehicle had been thoroughly checked as stated on the inspection sheet. However, the same day I brought the vehicle home, I noticed the brakes were creaking very badly—almost like a seized caliper. This is a serious safety concern, and I do not feel safe driving the vehicle with my wife and child. When I contacted the dealership, I was told they would not address the issue because the vehicle was discounted. At no point during the purchase process was any brake issue disclosed to me. If this had been communicated beforehand, I would have addressed it prior to purchasing. I am respectfully asking the dealership to reconsider and help resolve this safety issue. I believe it’s reasonable to expect that a vehicle sold after a from their mechanic inspection should not have an undisclosed brake problem. I’m hoping we can work together toward a fair resolution. Updates, After receiving no response from the dealership regarding my concerns, I escalated the matter by emailing Ken Garff corporate. The following day, manager Jeff who had previously stated the dealership would not repair the issue contacted me and asked me to bring my Suburban back in for service. The next day, I was informed the vehicle was ready for pickup. However, upon arrival, I immediately checked the vehicle and found that the brake issue was still persisting. I notified my salesman, who then informed Jeff. Jeff came out, inspected the vehicle, and stated that the noise was “normal caliper sound.” To be clear, the sound is only coming from the rear driver-side caliper( from what we could hear), which is not normal. I expressed my concern, and after further discussion Jeff asked me to meet with Cody from service management to demonstrate the issue. When I met with Cody, I recreated the sound for him. After hearing it himself, Cody stated that they would work on the issue after Memorial Day and we like to make it right for our customers. I will bring my vehicle back on May 26, 2026. After taking the vehicle home (May 22nd 2026), I also noticed an additional issue where the vehicle shakes while stopped in drive at traffic lights, which appears to indicate a possible misfire. I will be informing Cody of this additional concern on May 26, 2026. Update as of 5/28/2026: I called Cody today for an update regarding my vehicle. Cody informed me that both brake calipers were replaced, and they were also able to feel the vibration issue coming from the vehicle. However, Jeff chose to decline any further diagnosis or repair and told Cody not to continue looking into the issue because “it’s a used vehicle.” Cody also informed me that Jeff would have someone pick up the vehicle today so I could retrieve the vehicle once they call me. If you are planning on purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, I strongly recommend having the vehicle thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic or another dealership before signing any paperwork. In my experience, management was unwilling to properly address the concerns unless corporate became involved. Please do your research carefully before purchasing from this Ken Garff dealership. I will never buy a car from another Ken Garff Automotive Group dealership again. Even the salesperson’s attitude changed after the sale. If you scroll through the other reviews, there’s also a customer who bought a BMW and had the engine seize within only 5,000 miles. That should tell people to be cautious and thoroughly inspect any vehicle before purchasing here.
One Monday morning in early December 2025, I was browsing used car dealership sites in search of the perfect vehicle. Just as I was about to call it a day, I saw it: a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Sport S, Granite Crystal, 2" lift, 35" tires — exactly what I had been hoping for. With the excitement of a kid about to pitch the perfect Christmas gift to his parents, I clicked “Check Availability” and filled out the form. About an hour later, the phone rang. “Hi, is this Matthew?” “Yes.” “This is Brandon with Ken Garff. I wanted to let you know the Gladiator is still available. Do you have any questions about it?” That simple call turned into a 30-minute conversation where Brandon patiently answered everything I could think of. He even offered to hold the truck for me with a deposit, but understood when I declined since I lived two hours away and could only make it down Friday evening. Over the next few days, I kept texting Brandon with new questions. He always responded quickly, providing clear answers and even helping me work through payment details ahead of time. Meanwhile, I did my own research — checking Carfax, comparing prices, and preparing to negotiate hard when the time came. By Friday, I felt like a kid waiting for the drive to Disneyland. After work, we made the two-hour trip. Brandon confirmed the Gladiator was ready and waiting, and sure enough, when we pulled in, it was parked front and center at the entrance. Brandon greeted us with a smile, shook hands, and sent us off on a test drive. I’ve bought plenty of cars before, and I came prepared for battle - trade-in values, market comparisons, payment targets. But when we sat down, Brandon slid over the numbers before I could even pull out my papers. The trade-in offer matched exactly what I had planned to demand, and the monthly payment was even lower than I expected. He explained that he had worked all week to align the deal with the details we had discussed. Less than two hours later, we were driving home in the Gladiator. From start to finish, the process was smooth, transparent, and genuinely enjoyable. This was hands down the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Brandon and the Ken Garff team made it effortless, and I would recommend them without hesitation to friends and family.
