# Summary The dealership receives praise for exceptional individual salespeople who demonstrate knowledge, responsiveness, and genuine customer care throughout the buying process. However, the facility has faced serious criticism regarding pre-delivery inspections that consistently miss defects (including safety issues), unresolved refund processing, and poor communication from management when problems arise.
Originally we purchased a 2025 Dutchman Voltage 3600 from the Blue Compass Oklahoma location. I had the unit shipped to the Ogden, Utah location so I could do an orientation with the dealership. During the orientation, I spent over two hours with a technician attempting to repair numerous items that were missed during the pre-delivery inspection, which was supposedly conducted at the Oklahoma location. Eventually, we pulled the slides in and heard a loud bang. Turns out the passenger side slide cables had snapped. There was also fiberglass spider cracking on the driver side of the trailer. After working with the general manager, Justin Miller, he was able to get us out the Voltage and into this 2021 Road Warrior. I again identified numerous issues on site with the road warrior. I was assured that the items would be repaired prior taking possession of the trailer. However, upon delivery of the trailer, it had dead batteries which had not been replaced along with a laundry list of items that were not identified by the technicians during the pre-delivery inspection in Ogden. It should be noted that some of the items were safety related. Once again, I went to pull the slides in on this trailer only to find out that the slide motor was stripped out. I hired a mobile RV technician and together we identified a laundry list of items that were missed during the pre-delivery inspection. After a conversation with the general manager, Justin Miller he agreed to take the trailer back and issue me a full refund. As of today, the trailer has been returned back to the dealership inspected and accepted over three weeks ago! It took OVER two weeks of DAILY phone calls to the dealership to get my loan canceled. However, I have yet to see a refund for my $6,800 deposit. I CALL THE DEALERSHIP EVERY SINGLE AND NEVER GET A PHONE CALL, EMAIL OR RESPONSE FROM JUSTIN MILLER, BRANDON IN FINANCE OR EMMA WHO IS SUPPOSED TO HELP WITH MY DEPOSIT REFUND. ALL I WANT IS MY $6,800 DEPOSIT THAT BELONGS TO ME. I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG AND I’VE BEEN PROFESSIONAL THE ENTIRE TIME. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW IN HOPES THAT OTHERS WILL SEE IT AND CHOOSE TO TAKE THEIR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. I WOULD NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS DEALERSHIP OR THIS LOCATION BECAUSE THEY’RE CONDUCTING BUSINESS IN AN UNETHICAL WAY. THE BEST PART IS WHILE I SIT HERE MISSING THE MONEY THAT BELONGS TO ME BOTH THE OKLAHOMA AND OGDEN LOCATIONS HAVE BOTH OF THE TRAILERS THAT I RETURNED UP FOR SALE. THE VOLTAGE IN OKLAHOMA IS ALREADY PENDING A DEAL. SO BLUE COMPASS GETS TO HAVE THEIR TRAILERS BACK AND MAKE THEIR MONEY, BUT I GET TO SIT HERE WITHOUT MINE. THINK ABOUT THAT BEFORE YOU MAKE A PURCHASE WITH BLUE COMPASS RV!!!!
We bought a used 2020 Keystone Avalanche from the blue compass in Ogden to live in full time. This review is solely for our sales man Kodiak TenBears. We went in there on a whim and was assigned to Kodiak. From the beginning he was an absolute rock star and listened to our needs and what we were looking for. He started by showing us what they had on the lot, he was very knowledgeable and had general care about every unit he showed us. We spend over an hour or 2 with him and really enjoyed our experience and time. Unfortunately they didn’t have anything we were looking for in stock on the lot. When we left he followed up with us on various unit that they carried nationwide that match all of our needs and wants. Which we were pleasantly surprised he was able to remember all of them as he wasn’t actively taking notes while we had our discussion with him. He was honest and transparent. He was not overbearing, and cool and collected through that process. He continued to look for other units until we located one that we liked. He was quick to respond and quickly put a hold on the avalanche for us. Which we started the process to transfer the unit. He was able to answer all of our questions and concerns, as the unit was being shipped from another location. He was able to follow up with us multiple times as to where the unit was at and even kept us informed, when it was delayed and after hours. When the unit finally got here, he was quick and determined to make sure the unit was cleaned and ready for us to take our first look at it in person. He pushed really hard to make sure the unit was ready as quick as possible. He was honest with the realistic time frames and expectations to get the unit prepped. We bought the unit late April and he helped us move some of our things over from the unit we traded in. He was followed up multiple times after purchase to make sure we are were comfortable and still and enjoying our unit. Overall he made the experience extremely pleasant. His demeanor and honesty enhanced the experience. We couldn’t say more positive things about him and if you are looking at purchasing an RV from blue compass in Ogden I would highly recommend you request him.
Kodiak was great to work with and the reason we bought from Blue Compass! Jace was excellent to help get the trailer equipped with all we needed and give us all the details we need. We are excited to use our Alliance Delta travel trailer.
We just bought our first trailer with Bob at Blue compass and we adored him. He was patient, worked well with us, and truly cared for our best interest. We did our walk through and really like how thorough Jace was and how he took his time. He also didn’t pressure us into buying anything from their shop but explained why would would need anything extra.
Oof my experience with Kodiak? Dreamy. His name might be scary, but trust me, he’s no bear. You want something done, he already done it. You have an issue? His spidey senses already sensed it. He’ll bend over backwards, entertain your kids, and show his GM who’s boss to accomplish all of your wildest travel trailers dreams. If Chuck Norris (RIP) ever sold trailers he’d be forced to concede to Kodiak’s professionalism and holistic approach to delivering buttery trailer buying experience. Go see the bear.
