I recently purchased a used Tesla Model X from Kunes Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Platteville, and I can honestly say John Hermsen and Colton Ballard absolutely nailed the transaction. I drove a long way to buy this vehicle, and the entire purpose of the purchase was Full Self Driving. That meant the Tesla ownership transfer, software updates, app setup, prior owner release, and FSD activation all mattered a lot. This was not just a normal “sign here and drive away” deal. John Hermsen and Colton Ballard handled it the right way. They made sure the previous owner released the vehicle from their Tesla account, which is a critical step on a used Tesla. They updated the vehicle software before delivery, charged the car, and made sure I had what I needed to complete the Tesla app setup. I was able to upload my ID and purchase agreement through the Tesla app, pay for Full Self Driving, and about an hour into my trip home, FSD kicked in. I barely drove the rest of the way. That is exactly how a used Tesla sale should be handled. They also listened when I explained what mattered most to me. That sounds basic, but anyone who has bought cars knows it is apparently a lost art. These guys actually paid attention, followed through, and made sure the vehicle was ready. John and Colton were professional, helpful, and easy to work with from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Kunes Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Platteville, especially if you are buying a used Tesla and need the dealership to understand the extra steps involved with Tesla ownership transfer and Full Self Driving setup. First off, let me say a few words about everyone here. They are very professional ( or at least they were with me ) & Reno ( my sales rep ) was absolutely phenomenal. Many other places turned me away and Reno and his team got the job done. 2017 Ford F-150 is now mine. Everyone was very friendly and they even played with my service dog Baby. The one gentleman even gave her some animal crackers from his secret stash that I don't think he wants anyone to know about, but hey, bottom drawer left side......opps, sorry my man. I plan on dealing with them for years to come, but you'll NEVER get me to buy a Dodge, lol

I have been looking for a truck for several months now and hadn't heard of Kunes before so when told about it I drove on over and met John and Jamie. Jamie was able to find us a great ride and John and him were able to make a deal. I am very thankful for them working within the budget that I needed!

From start to finish, nothing but satisfaction from these folks. Colton was my sales guy. Top notch customer service. He was friendly, knowledgeable and truly cared that you were getting what you wanted. The finance team was outstanding. Drove 2 hours to buy a truck from Kunes and would do it all over again. I also appreciated the follow up email/text making sure the drive home was safe and truck was everything I was expecting.
