# Summary The dealership receives strong praise for individual salespeople who provide patient, professional, and personalized service, though customer experiences vary significantly based on which staff member assists them. Multiple customers report serious concerns about operational inefficiencies, poor communication, unmet promises, and inadequate follow-up on post-sale issues, which substantially detract from the overall purchasing experience.
I had an incredible experience! My salesman, Jackson, was fantastic! Right when I arrived, he greeted me with great enthusiasm. He even greeted my 10-year-old grandson: I joked later that he probably didn’t expect to make a sale. I initially planned to ask about the Chevy Traverse and maybe test drive it, as I had an appointment with another dealership for a 2025 model. However, Jackson’s impressive sales skills convinced me to buy a new 2026 vehicle in just an hour: I decided on the red Chevy Traverse with black rims. Within three hours, I was signing the paperwork. The entire experience was wonderful. He was pleasant, kind, and genuine. I typically dislike buying cars since I feel overlooked as a woman, but from the moment I got out of my car, his greeting felt warm and respectful. I’m so grateful he was there to assist me. The only advice I’ll give to anyone looking for a vehicle is to plan your day earlier in the morning or early afternoon. Towards the end of my experience, things felt rushed, which was during their closing time on a Friday. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. Thank you for everything!
Hussein worked with me for almost 2 months to get my new lease done, and his patience and dedication really showed. He never gave up, kept following up, and made sure I was comfortable with the deal. Super smooth experience and very much appreciated. Highly recommend asking for Hussein!
I had a very disappointing experience purchasing my new vehicle from this dealership. At first, everything seemed promising. I was greeted warmly when I arrived, and the staff appeared friendly and professional. Unfortunately, that positive first impression did not last long. First, the salesperson pressured me into signing an offer as if the deal was already finalized. After I signed, he came back and told me they couldn't make the deal work after all. That left me wondering: what was the purpose of having me sign in the first place? Second, I spent an excessive amount of time waiting in the salesperson's cubicle while he spoke with other customers and staff. Meanwhile, several other salespeople appeared to be standing around doing very little. At one point, it felt more like a social gathering around the reception desk than a professional dealership. Third, the salesperson disappeared for about 30 minutes and returned literally chewing food with his mouth full. It was unprofessional and showed a lack of respect for my time. Fourth, after waiting nearly two hours for the paperwork to be completed, I became frustrated and asked what was going on. The finance representative told me that my file had only just reached her desk. After waiting that long, I found that explanation bizarre and unacceptable. Fifth, I was originally told that I would be taking the vehicle home that same day. After I had already arranged for my ride to leave, I was informed that the vehicle was not ready. This left me without transportation and forced me to make other arrangements. The next day, when I returned to pick up my brand-new vehicle, it still was not ready. To make matters worse, the vehicle was dirty on the outside, and the chrome Chevy bowtie emblem showed visible rust. When I pointed this out, I was offered a car wash. A car wash does not remove rust. The response felt dismissive and showed a lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction. Overall, this was one of the most disorganized and unprofessional vehicle purchasing experiences I have ever had. The dealership demonstrated poor communication, wasted my time, and failed to properly prepare a brand-new vehicle for delivery. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this dealership and I will never go back again. No wonder state of Michigan investigated for their fraud a few months ago.
I had a great experience working with Hussein Harb. He was professional, honest, and very patient throughout the whole car-buying process. He answered all my questions clearly and made everything simple and stress-free. I truly appreciate his excellent customer service and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or lease a car!
The lease experience itself was fine, but my post-sale experience with LaFontaine has been a major disappointment. At signing, I negotiated and purchased a tire rotation and oil change package — however, after reviewing my lease documents, I discovered the agreed-upon terms were not honored. I reached out to request a refund, as I have not used a single service from the package. What should have been a straightforward resolution turned into a frustrating ordeal. The first representative immediately told me it couldn’t be done, then placed me on hold for nearly 20 minutes to speak with a manager. When he returned, he said he would forward my information to the “appropriate department” and that someone would call me back shortly. That call never came. No follow-up. No resolution. No acknowledgment. This was my first time leasing with LaFontaine. Based on this experience, it will certainly be my last.
