Land Rover Clearwater

I had an extremely disappointing experience purchasing a brand-new 2026 Range Rover from Land Rover Clearwater. The vehicle was purchased in cash ($135,000 out the door), I flew to Tampa, and drove it back to Orlando the same day. Within 22 hours of ownership and only 142 miles on the odometer, the check engine light came on with a warning: “engine malfunction, vehicle may enter limp home mode.” I immediately contacted my salesperson and was told “you can take it to a local RR dealer and their service dept can check and see what’s going on. I dont think it’s anything to worry about”. The Orlando service center could not visibly identify the issue, cleared the warning, and advised that if it happens again, repairs could take 2–3 days—and that loaner vehicles are booked out for over a month. Since then, I’ve also experienced a loud whistling noise from a poorly sealed window and a clanking sound under the driver’s side floor during idle—both within the first couple of days of ownership, of which I also notified my salesperson about. When I asked about options due to multiple issues within less than 48 hours, I was told I could not return the vehicle, but could trade it in—for $115,000. That’s a ~$20,000 loss on a brand-new vehicle with immediate problems. The MSRP was $126,985, so the dealership is looking to take $11,985 off the top, when we all know they would turn around and list it for sale at 124k at least. Likely turning a profit of 20k for doing nothing. It's unconscionable. Only after I expressed my intent to leave a negative review did the dealership offer to transport the vehicle and provide a loaner—something that should have been offered from the start. And to make matters worse, as I began moving into my new place today, the engine light has come on again with the same engine malfunction / limp home warning. 12 days of ownership and now Land Rover roadside has to come get the vehicle, and my move has come to a screeching halt. The most disappointing part of this experience is not just the vehicle issues, but the lack of urgency, accountability, and customer care. This is not the level of service one expects when purchasing a luxury vehicle, and I'm incredibly appalled at the apathy.

Michael the Finance Manager earned his keep during my deal, and smiled the entire time. You were so positive and got me the deal I wanted. I was always team Land Rover but now I'm Team Dimmitt. Amazing Job!!

Two weeks ago I bought a new Discovery from LR Clearwater. I worked with John who did an excellent job helping with vehicles. He even went so far as to bring the car to my house to make sure it fit in the garage. He has and continues to go above and beyond to keep his customers satisfied. The buying process was relatively simple, I drove away the next day with my new Discovery.
