# Summary The dealership receives praise for competitive pricing, professional sales staff, and smooth transaction experiences, while facing serious criticism regarding post-sale follow-up on promised items and unprofessional management conduct when addressing customer concerns. The starkly divided reviews suggest inconsistent service quality depending on which staff members customers interact with and at which stage of the buying process.
I had an incredible experience working with Adam Reeg at Langway Toyota. From start to finish, Adam was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on helping me find the perfect car for my needs, without any pressure. Adam and the team at Langway made the entire process smooth and stress-free and was always available to answer questions and made time to meet with me. I absolutely love my new car and could not have asked for a better experience at Langway. If you’re looking for someone honest, helpful, and easy to work with, I highly recommend asking for Adam Reeg. Thank you again for such a great experience! I also want to thank Adam Monteiro in the Service Dept. We have been using the Langway Service Dept. for over 12 years and their service is TOP NOTCH.
I accompanied a friend to this Toyota dealership in newport recently, and what I witnessed completely changed my mind about ever doing business here. My friend had just purchased three vehicles within a single week from this dealership—so naturally, we expected at least a basic level of professionalism and respect. Instead, the experience was shockingly disappointing. The issue was simple: a missing second key fob that should have been provided at delivery. After 12 days of waiting, we went in to follow up. What should have been a quick and courteous resolution turned into one of the most unprofessional interactions I’ve ever seen. The manager, Russel Bauer was outright rude and dismissive. He did not allow us to explain the situation, spoke over us, and showed zero willingness to help. Instead of resolving a legitimate issue for a paying customer, he asked us to leave the dealership. Watching a loyal, repeat customer—who had just spent a significant amount of money there—be treated like that was honestly shocking. We had driven 2 hours from Boston on a workday just to get this resolved, only to be treated with disrespect and shown the door. This isn’t just poor customer service—it’s a complete failure in basic professionalism and accountability. If this is how they treat customers after multiple purchases, I can’t imagine how they treat others. I strongly urge upper management to address both: The unacceptable behavior of Russel Bauer The dealership’s failure to deliver promised items Based on what I witnessed, I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before doing business here.
What a great dealership. Far cry from the DC, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) markups and price adjustments. Price was extremely competitive on a highly sought after vehicle. Andrew Cipolla was extremely professional and helpful. Would highly recommend.
I had a very disappointing experience at this Toyota dealership. My friend purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership within a single week, so we expected at least a basic level of professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While our sales agent, Steven Greenidge, initially handled the process, things went downhill when we tried to follow up on a missing second key fob. It has now been 12 days since the purchase, and the second key—something that should be included—still has not been provided complete. When we came in to resolve this, the manager, Russel Bauer, was extremely rude. He did not allow us to speak, dismissed our concerns, and ultimately asked us to leave the dealership without helping us at all. I have never seen more rude people in my life before! We drove 2 hrs on a workday from Boston to get here. This is unacceptable—especially for repeat customers who just made multiple purchases. We were simply trying to get what was already owed to us. I strongly recommend that upper management address both the behavior of Russel Bauer and the dealership’s failure to deliver on promised items. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. !!!!!! EDIT-1 Since I can't reply!!!!!!!! Russell, I appreciate you taking the time to respond, but your version of events does not reflect our experience. First, this review is not about pricing or discounts. Its abt your Aggressive Behaviour and post-sale follow-through, specifically the missing second key fob that was promised at the time of purchase. Regarding the appointment—yes, there were minor delays, but we were in constant touch with Steven. We got to ur shop at 4:47 but you were so adamant that we get there by 4:30 even when we told you there was an accident on the highway. As for the characterization of my friend, we strongly disagree. Asking for updates on an incomplete item and requesting clarity does not equate to being “abrasive” or “condescending.” Customers following up on promised deliverables should not be met with hostility. Moreover, the language and tone of your response are enough proof that you are more focused on deflecting blame than resolving customer concerns. A man of your experience should know better man!!! It was my first time at your dealership and it was truly appalling. Being 15 minutes late didn’t warrant that behavior.
I just leased two vehicles last night here and couldn't be happier with the quality of vehicles, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall experience. Everything was taken care of quickly and accurately, and the team was flexible on timing to pick up the vehicles. A huge "thank you" to Steve, Mike, and Russ for a pleasant experience, and I know who to come to if I decide to buy the vehicles or lease in the future.
