The dealership receives highly polarized feedback, with multiple customers praising salesman Brad's knowledge, honesty, and attentive service during the purchase process, while others report significant frustrations with post-sale support, service department responsiveness, and communication issues. The experiences suggest strong performance in initial sales interactions but notable inconsistencies in follow-up customer service and repair department operations.
My daughter purchased a car on Monday. Before she made it home, the check engine light, the auto on/off light was on, and the outdoor temperature was showing 190 degrees. We instantly called the salesman the next morning. Who initially expressed concern, and seemed as though they were going to make it right. I received a text saying he had spoke to service and she just needed to call and make an appointment. She called and was told she would have to pay the $160 diagnostic fee. ??? I reached out to the salesman again and was told to have her call in and, more or less he would get it corrected. She called back in and scheduled the appointment and the service person said the scan would be free, but she Will have to cover the repairs. I again text the salesman for clarification. Thats where it all ended. I didnt receive another response from him. With all that said, I understand she bought the used car "as is". This just shows their commitment to satisfied customers and I'll be sharing this experience with everyone looking for a new or used car. We did take the car to Autozone for a free scan and purchased the $30 part to fix it. My husband spent 2 and half hours making the repair and it is good as new now. With no help or support from the car lot. I suggest searching the internet and buying elsewhere.
My wife and I were looking for a second car. We were window shopping at the Columbus Hyundai dealership on a cold dark night in December 2025. Out of nowhere, Brad Wingate, who had walked the full length of the car lot to greet us, was standing in front of us, asking if we needed any help finding a vehicle. To make a long story short, we were impressed. It was cold. We made an appointment and because of his attitude and salesmanship ability, we purchased a car and are still loving it. Brad and Shelby, in finance, were excellent to work with. A very pleasant experience, to say the least. Thank you!
Buying a car at Hyundai of Columbus was hands-down the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. From the first conversation with Brad, to the final paperwork, he was knowledgeable, honest, and never pushy. He actually listened to what I needed and made the whole process easy and stress-free. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about getting you into the right vehicle and not just any vehicle, ask for Brad. I won’t buy from anyone else.
I appreciate how Brad helped me find the perfect car based on my preferences and specifications. Since it was my first time buying a car, I was nervous, but he guided me through the entire process. Now I’m very happy with my new Jeep.
Sparknotes version: hot garbage customer service, bad attitude from the manager, outrageous prices, but at the very least they diagnosed the problem correctly. I had my girlfriend's car towed here for what I originally thought was a computer/ECM issue on a Friday afternoon, and the manager told me the earliest they would be able to look at it was Monday afternoon, but likely Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning comes around, then Tuesday afternoon, and radio silence from them. I called that afternoon and got the "ah man, we're just so swamped and we haven't got to it yet. Definitely tomorrow though." Wednesday comes and goes, nothing. I called again and this time the response was "well we at least went out and popped the hood." I am not inclined to believe that because they told me the battery was somewhere it obviously was not, and they would have seen it if they were telling the truth. Dude was rude to me and my girlfriend on the phone every time. Anyways, they wanted to charge me 500 bucks to change a battery. They didn't end up diagnosing it until Thursday afternoon. I will say that their diagnosis ended up being good, and it was not what I thought it was, so at least they got that part right. I suppose this is typical dealer gripe though.
