Very impressed! First my estimate was performed and after the physical inspection was done, I was told I did not need parts as was first estimated. That really brought my total cost of repairs down. Pleased the service department was honest about what was actually needed, and not just an upsell for repair not needed. Thank you for being honest! You have created a return customer!

After less than 30 miles from picking up my car and spending 1350 to have it "repaired" and being without it for two weeks. I had to take it back and was informed they were scheduled out a month and the new check engine warnings did not have anything to do with the previous issue. Took it to a reputable mechanic and they reviewed the Service document and ran a diagnostic and I was told that the past and new issues could have been fixed with a tune up that they will take care of this week. Lums is only out to sell you a new car, they don't care about giving you good service.

We purchased an eight year-old car from Lums a month and a half ago. Because of its age, we purchased the $4000 Vehicle Service Contract. When we were unable to close the sunroof the other day, we called Lums and made an appointment to get it fixed telling them at the time that we had the Vehicle Service contract, which includes free car rental. When I came to pick up the car, I found out the sunroof is not included in the vehicle service contract. I have to admit that since this is the first used car I’ve ever purchased. I assumed that it had been thoroughly cleaned before we purchased it, but apparently because of the sunroof worked at the time, they didn’t bother. When the sunroof didn’t move, we checked the rails for debris and found none, but apparently it took them 2 hours to clean it and we were charged $200. I also was charged for the car rental though it was a reduced amount thanks to a sympathetic employee. The Service Manager, Nate, was going to give me a call but that didn’t happen. Since I was clearly of the impression that the Service Contract would cover the cost, I don’t understand why no one said it wouldn’t. I could have gone to a local mechanic. Not sure it would have taken them 2 hours to check and clean the rails.
