# Summary The dealership receives predominantly positive reviews praising its welcoming atmosphere, professional service, and particularly one salesman named Fernando for his communication skills and customer care throughout the purchase process. However, one detailed negative review documents significant concerns including misleading vehicle descriptions, nondisclosed aftermarket modifications, unverified warranty information, inconsistent negotiation practices, and poor follow-up communication.

My husband and I picked up this beauty yesterday. Best car dealership in Southern California! Carter and Fernando were amazing with everything every step of the way. Very professional but also very friendly. Go to them for all your exotics.

I had a disappointing experience with Marshall Goldman. On my initial call with JB in Beverly Hills about a G63 at their Newport Beach location, I asked about doing a pre purchase inspection. He told me it was company policy not to let vehicles leave the lot for any private party inspection, but said I could have someone inspect the car on their lift. Later I learned the store in Newport Beach did not even have a lift. He also told me that everything was negotiable, which influenced my decision to come in. He requested I let him know when I would arrive and told me the cars were in a small showroom and needed to be moved in order to make it available for a test drive. When I arrived at the showroom, the car was parked in the back against the wall blocked in by a lot of cars, so I immediately felt misled and knew a test drive was out of the question. The salesperson, Fernando, immediately told me he had three buyers on the phone ready to purchase the vehicle, but I knew the car had been sitting on their showroom floor for four months. While I was there, I made an offer only a couple of percent under the asking price and was shut down immediately, despite being told earlier that everything was negotiable. I offered 140k on a vehicle listed at 144k. Not exactly an insult. When I mentioned a PPI again in person, Fernando asked why I would even want one since the vehicle had only 30,000 miles, which was a red flag. Before I left, I was told I would get a call back later that day, but no one followed up. When I reached out again the next day, I still did not receive a response. They advertised the vehicle as having an AMG carbon fiber interior, which strongly suggests the factory carbon package. However, when they sent me the window sticker, it showed no factory carbon option of any kind. After matching the VIN on the sticker to the VIN on the car, I realized the carbon fiber trim shown in the listing and inside the vehicle was aftermarket, not OEM, and none of this was disclosed. The images made the interior look like genuine AMG factory carbon, but the weave, gloss pattern, and panel coverage were consistent with aftermarket kits rather than Mercedes OEM components. I only discovered the discrepancy because I reviewed the sticker they sent. This would have been thousands of dollars in lost value. Fernando also implied the warranty was still valid because the CarFax indicated it was in effect until March 2027. He said the vehicle likely sat around a long time before being initially sold when new. I contacted the Mercedes-Benz dealer in Anaheim, and they told me the warranty expired in November 2025. This should have been verified by Marshall Goldman instead of providing misleading information to a customer. Between the lack of followup, the mismatched window sticker, the nondisclosed aftermarket interior modifications, the refusal to negotiate after telling me everything was negotiable, the pressure line about multiple buyers, the dismissive response about a PPI, and being told I could use a lift that didn’t exist, the entire experience fell far short of what I expect from a high end dealership. I chose to walk away. Edited for clarity and to include additional detail about my experience.

This is the second car we have bought from Marshall Goldman Newport Beach. Fernando is our sales person and we have had the best experience so far. We have bought a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce and by far this is the best experience we have had. I highly recommend this dealership and Fernando to everyone.

First time buying a car at Marshall Goldman.. I have never been in a place where they make you feel welcome. They treat you with respect and give their 100% attention to you. Fernando is great! He came up with the perfect price and I was able to purchase my first 997 Carrera S. I recommend Fernando and Marshal Goldman to anyone who is purchasing a luxury car!! 10 out of 10!!

This is long overdue review. Buying a car can be a long, frustrating process. Fernando made the experience so easy. He was easy to communicate with, enjoyable to be around and even invited my dog to his dealership. He was patient during the buying process since my husband was overseas on business, but he made it easy and seamless. Thanks Fernando!
