This is my second amazing car buying experience at McGrath! Thank you so much to Joe Vogt for the easy process of getting my dream car! We showed up early for our appointment and were luckily able to be accommodated, paperwork was swift, and Kinsey in financing also made that part easy. Overall a happy experience. I highly recommend McGrath !

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at McGrath Toyota of Iowa. We arrived at 10:30 AM expecting a professional and respectful car-buying experience, but instead we left at 5:30 PM feeling frustrated, disrespected, and that our entire day had been wasted. Our salesperson, Aaron, kept us waiting for long periods without clear communication. There was a lack of transparency throughout the process, and simple questions were either avoided or answered vaguely. It felt like we were being strung along instead of being treated as serious customers. When his manager, Dawton, became involved, the situation did not improve. Rather than addressing our concerns professionally, the tone felt dismissive and unwelcoming. We couldn’t help but feel that we were being treated differently, and the overall experience came across as discriminatory and unprofessional. Spending seven hours at a dealership with no resolution and no respect for our time is unacceptable. Buying a car is a major decision, and customers deserve honesty, clarity, and basic courtesy. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would not recommend this dealership based on how we were treated.

I bought the 2026 Grand Highlander Platinum through Aaron Woodward, who made the entire process seamless. The first vehicle I chose didn't have all the features that I wanted. Aaron made sure the next vehicle had everything! Aaron and the Business Office Manager, Sara Avendano were very informative, answered all my questions and provided much feedback!! I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership yesterday. We drove 4h from another state to buy a car after speaking with the salesperson in advance and setting everything up. When we arrived, they offered a test drive and we noticed several issues with the car. Instead of clearly addressing our concerns, the salesperson kept going back and forth with the manager. He eventually took the car to a technician and came back claiming there were no problems. We asked to see the car again, and he spent about 30 minutes to an hour looking for it because he didn’t know where it was. When he finally returned with a key and said he found it, he brought us to the wrong car. On top of that, they knew we were coming from another state to purchase the vehicle, yet the car was not detailed, not prepared, and not ready at all. We arrived around 10:30AM and didn’t leave until 5 PM, the entire time we were not even offered a place to sit inside or offered any basic courtesy. Very unprofessional experience and a complete waste of time. SHOP ELSEWHERE!!!

Despite living in a different state, we decided to buy our vehicle from McGrath because they worked so much harder to find us the right vehicle vs. our local dealers. Working with Hunter was great. He was very responsive and knowledgeable about our vehicle. We ended getting the exact vehicle we had hoped for. The process was seamless and transparent.
