# Summary The dealership receives consistently high praise from satisfied customers who commend specific salespeople (particularly Darren Lindsay and John) and finance manager Josh Wurdemann for their professionalism, knowledge, and seamless purchasing experiences. However, experiences vary significantly, with complaints about service department communication issues, unexpected delays, unclear promotional details, and one customer's serious concerns about professionalism and transparency during a high-value purchase.
I recently purchased a beautiful Mercedes convertible from Baker Mount Pleasant! My wonderful salesman was Darren Lindsay, excellent salesman, great experience! Josh Wurdemann was the Finance Manager, got me a fantastic deal. Sam showed me all the bells and whistles, great presentation. They have gone above and beyond for the sale and follow up. I so appreciate everything these gentlemen did to make this purchase as seamless as possible for me. They are a credit to this dealership! All my future cars will be from them.
I had a great experience at Mercedes Benz of Mount Pleasant. Darren Lindsey made my car search painless. Coming from a different state to buy a car,he was so helpful. He had my car pulled up and ready and kept in touch with me till I arrived at the dealership. He showed me all the new features on the car, he was very knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to buy my next car from the Mount Pleasant group. Thank you Josh and Darren.
Extremely disappointed with my experience at this Mercedes-Benz dealership. I flew in from out of state to purchase a G-Class for nearly $190,000 — and the moment I arrived, the lack of professionalism was obvious. There was no courtesy airport pickup, which is the bare minimum I’d expect from a luxury brand dealership. When I got there, the vehicle was dirty inside — no effort made to properly detail a six-figure car before delivery. That set the tone for the rest of the experience. Worse, the staff showed no real respect or concern throughout the process. I was misled about the title status, and after the sale, they were evasive and unhelpful in addressing the issue. To top it off, they had the audacity to offer money in exchange for a positive review. That says everything you need to know about how they operate. This was a major purchase for me, and Mercedes-Benz should be ashamed to have a dealership like this representing the brand. I would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service – Twice! This is the second Mercedes EQB we’ve purchased from John at Mt. Pleasant Mercedes this year, and once again, the experience was absolutely top-notch! My wife loved hers so much that we just had to get one for my mom—there was no question about where to go. John is an outstanding salesperson—knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about getting you into the right vehicle. He made the entire process seamless, just like the first time. And Josh in finance made everything effortless, with clear and straightforward explanations, ensuring the paperwork was a breeze. From start to finish, the team at Mt. Pleasant Mercedes delivers five-star service, making car buying an enjoyable and stress-free experience. If you’re in the market for a Mercedes, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
I recently brought my GLS 450 in for service and left feeling disappointed with the overall experience, particularly given the high standards typically associated with the Mercedes-Benz brand. I had just completed my 30,000-mile service, which came out to a little over $1,300, and shortly after was advised that additional work totaling around $1,800 was recommended. After already completing the earlier service visit, the overall communication and coordination throughout the process did not feel as smooth or organized as I would expect from a Mercedes dealership. Communication during the process was challenging. The service advisor I worked with, Amanda, used different phone numbers for calls and texts, which made it difficult to know how best to follow up. When I called, we often ended up playing phone tag. Messages frequently did not include full details, and when I returned calls I was usually routed back to voicemail. Sometimes my calls were returned and sometimes they were not, which made it difficult to get clear answers. There was also confusion around a promotion that was being offered at the time. I was not informed that the promotion had a short expiration window, and when I returned about a week later to move forward with tires, I was initially told it would not be honored. That was surprising since I had asked about it previously and was not made aware it was ending. Another issue occurred during the 30,000-mile service appointment itself. I dropped the vehicle off in the afternoon and was told it would be ready by 5:00 pm that same day. Shortly before that time I was called and told it would not actually be ready until the following day. As a busy Mount Pleasant mother with two young children, coordinating transportation is important. My children’s backpacks and school items were in the car because I had expected to pick it up that evening based on the timeline provided. After purchasing the tires, I also received a mailer just a couple of days later advertising a promotion to buy three Continental tires and receive the fourth for $1. Given the earlier confusion around promotions, this added to the overall frustration and sense that the experience could have been handled more clearly. For context, I purchased my Mercedes brand new from a local dealership and have always had it serviced at Mercedes-Benz dealerships in town rather than going elsewhere. Our family has been loyal to the brand, and that loyalty comes with the expectation of a certain level of communication and customer care. I chose this dealership because of its convenient location, and I would welcome the opportunity for a manager to reach out to discuss the experience.
