# Summary The dealership receives praise for its sales process and customer service, with multiple customers highlighting responsive salespeople who facilitate smooth transactions both in-person and remotely. However, experiences vary significantly in post-purchase service, with some customers reporting frustration over warranty coverage decisions, service errors, and administrative delays, though some of these issues were eventually resolved.
5 - Star Experience from Start to Finish! Our family loves our new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S. Thank you, John Singley, for going above and beyond to make this deal happen. John was attentive and on top of the deal from the moment we first spoke to when the car was at our doorstep. Mercedes-Benz of Tuscaloosa made the process quick and easy. The way car buying should be. Ask for John Singley, tell him what you need, and let him and his dealership do the rest.
I purchased a GLC 300 from Mercedes Benz of Tuscaloosa, which I love. After having the vehicle for a year and a half, the engine light came on. Which is fine, because things happen. We allowed Mercedes to repair the problem (4/7/26). We were told our warranty would only cover half the price. We paid our half, thinking this would solve the problem. Problems were only the beginning. The thermostat valve was replaced, and the vehicle was picked up (4/13/26). After a week of driving the car, the engine light came back on (4/19/26). We returned the vehicle the next day. Then we were told it was the turbo/waste gate actuator. After leaving the vehicle with Mercedes, we were told that we would have to pay the upfront cost of breaking the engine down so they could send evidence to the warranty company to see if they would cover the cost. The warranty company didn't cover the cost. We decided to use another company, that Mercedes recommended to fix the problem. We dropped our vehicle off at this company (5/14/26). After dropping the vehicle off, they tell us there was nothing wrong with the turbo/waste gate actuator. Mercedes simply forgot to plug in a vacuum line from the vacuum pump. We picked up the vehicle (5/18/26). The problem comes in where we provided Mercedes with the paperwork from the other company stating nothing was wrong with the turbo, and we requested a refund for the cost of breaking down the engine. Mercedes made a mistake on their end and has yet to make this right. After getting the vehicle back, I waited a week to submit this review and even drove the vehicle 300 miles with no problems.
I purchased my new Mercedes remotely, and Mercedes-Benz of Tuscaloosa made the entire process incredibly easy and stress-free. John Singley was an outstanding salesperson — super helpful, responsive, and went above and beyond to coordinate everything for me from start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for better service! Highly recommend John and the whole team.
If there’s a ZERO(0) rating, I would give it to this Mercedes Benz location. First off, the environment does not represent the brand well at all. Of course, we were greeted very well by a woman when she saw us park but the whole experience during and afterwards was very disappointing to say the least. Process was done and they make you feel like they’re helping you and you keep saying thank you but it’s all a lie/deceit. There was no description or explanation of the car we bought. When everything was done and we walked to the car to inspect and ask questions, was when we found out that a lot of packages that could benefit us in the long run were taking out of the deal. Car was tagged “Sell as is” but packages were removed. Afterwards, the tag process was a nightmare. Temporary tag expired, they mailed out the same expired tag twice. We were afraid to drive the car with an expired tag, so we had to park the car most of the time and not drive it. The person in charge of tag, Jessica, worst person to reach. She’s never available! The representative we started the deal with before we actually drove there, Keith was a very helpful and great person but quit right after the purchase. John attended to us and was responsive but also quit the job few weeks later. The manager, OMG! I don’t understand how he got the position. Very Nonchalant! He was not helpful at all and the way he talks to you, very unprofessional. Overall, please save your money and do not waste your money and time here. It’s all about COMMISSION to them. Jessica did reach out to me on Monday and got the issues resolved. She mailed and emailed me the temporary tags. She also promised to send the needed documents to the DMV office. In fairness to her, she’s been asking questions about the tag document and no one has been able to give her answers. At the same time, my phone number, email and address are on the paperwork and their system.
Jacques and Oakley were fantastic to work with. Everyone employee we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend buying from this dealership.
