# Summary The dealership receives praise for competitive pricing, clean facilities, and friendly service from individual staff members, particularly in parts and service departments. However, customer experiences are inconsistent, with some negative interactions involving sales management and post-purchase support, including communication delays and disputes over vehicle condition disclosures.
Bought an ACDelco Gold 78DTG battery for my older Silverado. Midway had the lowest price, even beating Sam’s Club. First time at this dealership, and I was impressed—very clean, friendly staff, and smooth pickup at the parts department. They handled the old battery without hesitation. If I ever buy a new truck, I’d feel confident doing business here. Well-run and professional.
EDITED REVIEW AT THE BOTTOM: My family and I traveled from North Iowa to Western Kansas. We hit a deer and it totaled our van. We went to Midway because none of the rental places were open or had anything that would fit our family and stuff. We worked with Robert. He did a good job and was kind. They gave us a list of issues wrong with the van and we paid a fair price. However, 1.5 hours into our drive the heat started going out. We kept going to our location. The next day we added coolant and saw someone had used radiator sealant in the coolant. The heat worked for an hour. Then, stopped working again. We couldn't get ahold of anyone Sunday but struggled on to Lincoln to stay at a hotel. The next day we called Midway as soon as they opened. We got a response back at 8:30 but were told the manager was in a meeting. We called consistently until we were given direction at 11 to take it to a shop. We called to talk to them many times from 11 to 3 when they finally decided to give $300 of the ~$1000 charge. We purchased the car as an "as is" deal with a list of what was wrong with the vehicle. Both mechanics we saw on our route (who didn't know eachother) said this should have been something easily diagnosed by the dealership. We spent an extra night in a hotel because our 3 year old and 6 month old were cold in the van. My husband missed work and it's just been a long trip. I had to stay in the lobby with our kids while my husband was at the mechanic trying to get the company to help pay for the expense due to the communication delays. A few hours later the general manager reached out to make things right. We bought the car as is, knowing the risks, for that reason we requested he add to the $300 to make it equal to what they would have paid for the radiator in house. They sent us a check for an extra $300 that arrived 1.5 weeks later which is why we are editing this review. 3 stars because the salesman did the best he could but in the end, and the general manager (Heath) tried to make it right, but the sales manager (Mitch) was rude and slow to respond multiplying our difficulties. I appreciate Heath reaching out and adding an extra $300 making their help $600/$1000. However, we still feel like they should have paid the entire thing due to the problem being obvious (cracked radiator) and them not knowing or disclosing the info.
Recently bought a used GMC from Midway and had an excellent experience. Can't say enough good things about working with Kevin on the sales team. The vehicle is in great shape and our family is very happy. Very competitive pricing, too.
Jason S and Liz T took great care of me today at Midway while servicing my vehicle. Liz kept me informed and updated throughout the entire process and made sure all parts were available, which I really appreciated. Joe Wheeler took great care of my vehicle and the work was completed in a very timely manner. Thank you all for the excellent service and professionalism! See you next time 😎
During one of my first visits to the dealership while looking at a truck, the sales manager, Mitch, made a comment to me about having “influencer money.” I am an influencer, but hearing that comment felt unprofessional and caught me off guard. Despite that, the sales staff I worked with were helpful and assisted me in purchasing the truck. About 30 days after buying the truck, I found myself stranded on the side of the road while traveling in Florida. Since I had just purchased the vehicle, I called the dealership and asked to speak with Mitch. I explained that I was surprised and frustrated to be dealing with a breakdown so soon after purchasing it. He asked if I wanted to be transferred to service. I explained that I was frustrated because I had just purchased the truck and didn’t expect to be stranded so soon. I was upset, but I was not yelling or using profanity. During the conversation he told me that if I was upset with him, he would not help me. I apologized for sounding frustrated and explained that my reaction was because I had just been stranded shortly after purchasing the vehicle. He then told me something along the lines of, “Well, you shouldn’t have bought a used truck,” implying the situation was simply my responsibility for buying a used vehicle. That response was surprising and disappointing given the circumstances. The truck ultimately had to be towed to another dealership where the issue was addressed and resolved. Thankfully, the staff there were much more helpful. After reflecting on the experience, I am leaving this review because of how I was treated during that phone call and in person by the sales manager. Being stranded shortly after purchasing a vehicle is stressful, and I expected at least some level of understanding or guidance from the dealership where I purchased it. Because of that interaction with the sales manager, I will not be purchasing another vehicle from Midway and would recommend others carefully consider their options before buying here.
