# Summary Experiences at this dealership vary significantly, with some customers praising individual staff members for exceptional service and fair dealings, while others report serious concerns about vehicle condition at delivery, inadequate pre-sale inspections, and unresponsive management when issues arise. The dealership appears to depend heavily on the performance of specific employees, as positive interactions with particular sales and service staff contrast sharply with complaints about poor initial processes, undisclosed vehicle damage, and difficulty obtaining compensation for delivery-related problems.

My wife and I recently purchased a vehicle from Mike Patton CDJR and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The vehicle was delivered without being properly detailed, and during either the loading or unloading process one of the tires was damaged. That same day, while inspecting the vehicle further, we also noticed old body repair work on the front passenger bumper that had not been disclosed during the sale. I contacted the dealership the following day and they sent me a $500 check. While I appreciated the gesture, the replacement tire cost $354, leaving only $146 to cover a full detail. My temporary registration was also delayed by five business days. So once, I was finally able to start drive the vehicle, it began stalling as soon as the engine warmed up. After repeated attempts to contact the dealership with no luck beside through text message with a customer service number, I scheduled a service appointment myself with a local Jeep dealership in my area. During their inspection they found several issues. The auxiliary battery needed to be replaced, there was a leak at the oil filter, and they could not confirm whether the oil had been recently changed. They also pointed out that the different tread lengths on the same axle were not recommended for safe driving conditions. In addition, my rear hatch was not functioning properly. The dealership determined it had been previously removed, repaired, and repainted, which caused it to be misaligned and not opening correctly. This repair history was never disclosed at the time of purchase either. While the Carfax report showed a “minor” rear-end accident, the salesperson assured me it was only small scratches on the rear bumper. At no point during the sale was I provided the detailed inspection report until we had to ask for it. These issues likely would have been discovered if the vehicle had undergone a proper inspection prior to sale and delivery. After receiving the vehicle back from service, I contacted the dealership again requesting compensation for the diagnostic fee, a new tire for the adjacent axle, and an additional $100 toward detailing (dealer cost quoted at $299). Despite providing photos and documentation of these issues, my request was denied after several days of initial contact. If you are considering purchasing from Mike Patton CDJR, I would strongly recommend buying in person and performing a very thorough inspection before completing the sale. Do Not trust them as they were not honest.

Five stars… and a redemption story for the ages. I have intentionally held off on writing this review for nearly three years since purchasing my 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. What you are about to read is a cinematic journey. Grab popcorn. Possibly a seatbelt. I bought during the great post-COVID vehicle shortage when inventory was scarce and dealer leverage was… abundant. This was pretty much the only place that had the van I needed, so I stepped onto the lot knowing full well it was a seller’s market. That part I understood. What I did not expect was to encounter a salesperson who felt like he had been preserved in amber from 1987. Not overly personable. Not especially helpful. And perhaps most impressive… not a great listener. On my first visit I clearly explained that I had unlimited time that day but when I returned three days later to pick up the vehicle I would have a very precise 45-minute window. Evidently that information was treated less like a schedule and more like a fun suggestion. The pickup process took long enough for me to consider packing a lunch and possibly starting a small garden. Not ideal. Fast forward a year. The van started having some issues. To be clear, that is not the dealer’s fault. Machines break. I had wisely purchased the mega-super-deluxe extended warranty. Unfortunately I also executed a flawless disappearing act with the paperwork thanks to military moves and general life chaos. So I called the dealership for help. They transferred me to finance. Voicemail. I called again months later. Voicemail. I called again over the next year and a half. More voicemail. At this point I began to suspect my calls were being routed through a museum exhibit titled “Early 2000s Communication Methods.” Then last week the van decided it wanted a starring role in a supernatural thriller. Electronic transmission issues. Dashboard warnings that basically said, “Take me to a dealer immediately and good luck shifting ever again.” Nothing motivates quite like the possibility of being permanently stuck in park. I called. Voicemail. I called again and someone offered to physically walk a message to finance. Still nothing. Finally, two days ago, I called and reached a gentleman named Kyle. I calmly and thoroughly explained the situation and my growing collection of unanswered voicemails. Kyle listened. Actually listened. He said he would take care of it. I will admit I was cautiously optimistic. We both have names starting with K, so there was a sense of alphabetical trust. Later that afternoon I received a call from Javier in finance. Not only had he located my warranty paperwork, he texted me a photo of it so I could immediately use it at my local dealership. It was efficient. Professional. Shockingly helpful. The kind of service that makes you blink twice and check if you accidentally called a luxury concierge line. It honestly makes me believe that Javier didn't receive any of my earlier messages which means someone somewhere needs to figure out a system to fix something. Then, just when I thought the story was complete, my phone rang again. It was Kyle. He was calling simply to make sure everything had been resolved. Friends… that is how you do customer service. So yes, the early chapters of this saga were rough. But the final act? Gold standard. Kyle and Javier single-handedly turned what could have been a permanent one-star grudge into a five-star redemption arc. To the dealership owner: if Kyle has not received a raise, promotion, bonus, parade, or commemorative statue lately, now would be an excellent time. And maybe slide something nice over to Javier too. The extended warranty he sold actually helped a real human, and that deserves applause. Five stars for the comeback story alone.

Gustavo Egigi, Steven Goins, and John316 they were the most wonderful group to work with. When I walked in the door I had been to several dealerships and just felt overwhelmed trying to find a car. I had just had my car totaled unexpectedly, and I loved my car that I just lost. My husband and I walked in and met Steve the Sales Manger of the dealership. His kindness blew me away. He took the time to care about me and wanted to help find me a new car. He introduced me to Gustavo his sales consultant. Gustavo was incredible helpful and knowledgeable. His biggest concern was that I was happy with the car that I pick. His thoughtfullness and patience was what I needed. I would highly recommend using Mike Patton in Lagrange. They didn’t play “dealer” games. They were fair and made us a great deal. My husband was so impressed with how we were treated that he bought a new truck. They were incredibly fair with his trade in. I felt like I was working with family. I will only ever buy my Jeeps and Dodge Trucks from this dealership. I wish I could give them a 10 out of 10. They are truly the kindest group. Mr. John316 stopped in a few times and checked on my family and leaving all of us with treats. I highly recommend this dealership. They treated us incredibly well. Plus side my husband and I both love our Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge drain 2500 diesel. Thank you Steve, Gustavo, and John316 you all showed up for us during such a hard time. God bless you all.

Purchased several vehicles from Mike Patton, however; last two times have been a nightmare so never again! Bought a 2022 Ram 2500 less than 22,000 miles had to replace tires all the way around. Now mind you the truck is almost 3 years old nd has less than 25,000 miles on it…I’ll give them this one because they did replace the tires AFTER much much headache on our part! Also, was sold a gasoline maintenance package on a diesel truck so they had to refund us all of that back after we refused to pay out of pocket for the extra cost of them replacing filters etc. in a diesel instead of a gas truck…again they sold us the package lol Fast forward to 2024 after dealing with my truck tire issue my sons brand new jeep compass he purchased was pulled around for inspection before we leave and we noticed a dent on front bumper, apparently it was damaged and now we have the paper work complete and they tell us we will have to find another vehicle, within a day we are leaving with a different car from another lot. Fine, except less than 1 year later and approx 22,000 miles we are told he needs new tires all the way around. We had the vehicle serviced regular and tires rotated each and every oil change. So we go back to the dealership for them to “check” it out. Was told front end was out of line but back tires looked ok. Apparently they only looked with their eyes and never “checked” it out good because We decided on a third opinion with our body guy. Not only did all 4 tires need replacing but the jeep was out of line in front and back. AGAIN the jeep compass is less than a year old and is driven by my son that drives like a little old man, no offense intended, and there is no way we should have had to replace tires at 22,000 miles on a brand new vehicle and both front and back got out of line by the way he drives and it never drove like it is out of line. Just took it in for regular maintenance and found out. In my opinion they rushed the vehicle in and NEVER checked it out before we left with it so it most likely was already out of line. They of course have an excuse for all of this and did NOTHING to make it right!! So warning, RUN RUN RUN the other way or you will be forking out money for a set of tires in less than 25,,000 miles on a new vehicle. Funny how they won’t stop calling you to sell you something but we get radio silence when we have an issue. And this is why car dealerships get the reputation they do when they treat a return customer this way how do you think they will treat a new one?

Just got a cold air intake and back seat delete. Looks amazing! I've never been disappointed with the quality of work or the knowledgeable staff. Everything is always right, and if not they'll fix it immediately.
