I've been driving Mini Cooper's for 15 years. What can I say? I'm a creature of habit. But purchasing a new car is never thought of as "easy" and often comes with many hoops to jump through. Jimmy Tang from Mini of DTLA reached out to discuss trading in my current car for a new one. At first I was hesitant as I still had a few months left on my lease, but after I went in and spoke with him, I realized it was a no-brainer. Jimmy worked with me for 3 solid days to squeeze out the best deal possible. He was relentless in his support and constantly went back to the drawing board for me so that we could both be happy. On top of this, he was kind, respectful and outright hilarious. I've never had more fun at a car dealership than I did this week. I felt heard, I felt respected, and most importantly I felt safe–which isn't always the first feeling as a woman at a car dealership. I've been coming to Mini of DTLA for years for service through Ira Wyatt, my #1 service guy, so now knowing I have Jimmy in my corner through sales makes it all the better. I recently visited BMW Downtown MINI just to look around and check out MINI vehicles, as I was considering a purchase but hadn't made any decisions yet. During my visit, I met sales consultant Jimmy Tang. I clearly told him that I was only browsing, but despite that, he was incredibly friendly, patient, and enthusiastic. He took the time to thoroughly explain the vehicles, as well as both leasing and purchasing options, without any pressure at all. I truly appreciated his professional and respectful approach. That day, I went home without making a decision since I was also considering a Toyota and wanted to speak with another dealer. The following day, Jimmy and the sales manager followed up with me and offered a deal that was honestly too good to turn down -- so I ended up purchasing the car. Because the purchase was completed quite late in the day, they weren't able to do the vehicle detailing on the same day. However, a few days after the purchase, they scheduled a vehicle detailing for me, and the post-purchase service was just as excellent as the sales experience. Everything felt smooth and well taken care of from start to finish. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience definitely deserves one. If you're considering buying a MINI, I highly recommend Downtown LA MINI -- and make sure to ask for Jimmy Tang. You won't be disappointed.
