MINI of Monrovia

I purchased my used Model S here. Working with Collin was great. He was friendly, responsive, and had everything ready very quickly. Unfortunately, the dealership's preparation of the vehicle was a completely different story. The detailers did an awful job. Attached is a photo of what the hood looked like the first time I saw it in direct sunlight. The entire car is covered in polishing marks and swirl marks from a terrible buffing job. The interior was also absolutely drenched with carpet cleaning products or odor eliminators that left the car smelling like burnt rubber and chemicals for days after purchase. After I drove the vehicle home, I called the dealership about the paint issues and was told someone would get back to me. I never received a call. If you decide to buy a car here, be prepared to spend thousands fixing the paint and cleaning up the mess they made

CAUTION: If you’re planning to buy a brand-new vehicle from here, please be extra careful. I purchased a green Mini Cooper from MINI of Monrovia about 4 years ago, believing it was a brand-new car. Everything seemed fine until today, when I tried to sell it to another dealer. That’s when I was informed that a large portion of the left side of my car had been repainted — which significantly lowered its value. This came as a complete shock to me. I bought this car new and have only done regular maintenance — no accidents, no repainting, nothing. I contacted MINI of Monrovia, and they told me they were not aware of the repaint either. According to one of their staff members, in 30 years of experience, they had only seen 2 cases like this — and unfortunately, I’m one of them.😄😄 Regardless of how rare this situation may be, this is still something customers deserve to know before purchasing a “brand-new” vehicle. My advice: If you’re buying a new car from this dealership, make sure to carefully inspect every detail — including the paint — before signing anything. I chose this dealership because of its reputation, but it’s disappointing to only discover this issue 4 years later.
