# Summary The dealership receives strong praise for its friendly, knowledgeable staff, fair pricing, professional service, and comfortable customer experience, with multiple five-star reviews highlighting efficient service and honest dealings. However, one detailed one-star review documents significant issues with a certified pre-owned vehicle purchase, including undetected damage at sale and subsequent frustration with the repair process and lack of follow-up communication.

What a great dealership. Clean and the hospitality was excellent. Great prices in comparison to others. The salesman and loan manager were friendly, not pushy, and were very professional, understanding, and helpful. The salesman even sent a video of the car first as I live over 1 hour away.

I don't usually care for dealerships, but Morries has done a great job. Friendly staff who know their stuff (and if they don't, they find the answer). Comfortable lounge, excellent cookies and good coffee. Oil change and tire rotation done in an hour.

Phillip was great at answering questions and communicating with us. Everyone at the dealership was friendly, we are sure we would have enjoyed working with anyone there.

I have been debating writing this review as I have been wanting to be patient, kind, and give them the benefit of the doubt. However, persistent lack of accountability and little desire to sufficiently repair the issues to an acceptable quality level has led me to want to share my experience with others. I purchased a 2024 Toyota Tundra from Morrie's West Salem Chevrolet. The vehicle was sold to me as a "certified pre-owned" with all the added benefits that come with that. Of course, purchasing a used vehicle I understand that I'm not purchasing something that is perfect, and I agree, some argument could be made that I should have observed the vehicle more prior to purchasing. However, what kind of damage does a person expect when they are looking at a "nice" used vehicle such as a 2024 Tundra that is being sold as a "certified" vehicle and is still costing over $45,000 plus taxes and fees? I had purchased it knowing there was scratches and minor dings. However, after owning it, I noticed a large gap near the driver side headlight, and that the whole grill assembly was crooked. At first glance you may not notice it, but once you do, you can't unsee it. Plus, upon further inspection, there was noticeably broken pieces on the headlight assembly. Immediately, I knew this is something that could take away a few thousand dollars from the resale value (or that I should have paid much less for it) due to the body work that would need be done to correct the issues. I first tried to determine if this is something that happened since I owned the vehicle. Did I damage it unknowingly or did someone hit it without me knowing? However, I was able to retrieve pictures from Morrie's sale posting, as well as review the pictures from the first day I owned it, and noticed that the issues were existing. This made me wonder what kind of quality inspection was done on the vehicle prior to it being posted for sale. I started contacting the dealership feeling hopeful that they would make things right. At first the service department looked at it and quickly dismissed it as damage that I had caused to it. After explaining my case to them more, they said a manager would call me. I didn't hear anything and had to make a follow up call. With no response I finally just drove it back to the dealership. Then, I proved my point to the general manager and he agreed that this was something that should have been caught during the inspection prior to the sale of the vehicle. For the sake of the length of this review, I will summarize that what resulted from here on was working with the sales manager to coordinate repairs to the vehicle with a local body shop. There ended up being two different times with it in the body shop for multiple days. There were many "I will call you tomorrow" that never happened, and many times of me trying to wait patiently for days and finally having to make follow up calls. There was the long conversations with the sales manager that resulted in me paying $300 of the second invoice. There was the sales manager again claiming "I will call you tomorrow" to discuss possible reimbursement of the $300 which never happened (couple weeks later at this point). Plus, the fact that all of this time, stress, phone calls, and several trips to the dealership and body shop has not resulted in much improvement to the issues I presented, and in some ways, may have made things worse. Even after I pointed out some bent brackets to the body shop owner, they did not replace these on the second visit and I ended up buying the $40 worth of parts and doing work on it myself - which still hasn't made things perfect, but did make some difference. I am still very unsatisfied with the way things look on the vehicle. Oh, and I have to now pay the Toyota dealership myself to initialize the headlight system which the body shop was unable to do. I know some of this has to do with the quality of the work provided by the body shop, but I ultimately hold Morrie's accountable since they choose who to work with for body repairs.
