# Summary The dealership receives praise for friendly and knowledgeable staff members, particularly in sales and finance, with several customers reporting positive purchasing experiences and willingness to return. However, some customers have raised concerns about add-on charges (such as ceramic coatings and specialty brake lights) that may not deliver expected value, incomplete vehicle documentation, and follow-up issues with promotional offers.

Shopped for a truck online and am thankful that I found Mountain Home Auto Ranch Chevrolet. Val and Jeremy were wonderful to work with and made my truck purchase a pleasant experience.

Great dealership! Easy to work with and very helpful. I would buy from the dealership again.

First let me say Carlos was awesome to work with. Great dude. But if the manager isn’t there, nothing can happen. Just make sure when you’re signing the paperwork you take time to really read it and see what you’re getting charged for. The “flashing brake light that reduces rear end collisions by 90%” is a $599 brake light you’ll pay for. There’s also zero research to back that claim. Make sure you double check if there’s a second key. It should be illegal for a used vehicle to only be sold with one key. And the “$100 refer a friend promotion” is crap. A buddy referred me and he still hasn’t gotten the check yet even though they’ve “sent it twice” Follow up - I talked to the GSM and all he gave me were excuses saying they’d lose money for spare keys blah blah. And now they’ve sent the referral check to my buddy three times apparently but he still hasn’t gotten it.

Val and Jeremy at the Chevy GMC Mountain Home Auto Ranch are amazing. ❤️ If you've had a bad experience with the other Auto Ranch locations I encourage you to go to the Mountain Home Chevy location and ask for Val. She's a honest, caring, gem in the midst of nasty business, rock star! We've purchased a total of 4 vehicles from Val over the years 09-25. Even after Performance Chevrolet was bought out Val (sales) and Jeremy (finance) have remained a staple of the Chevy location. They are truly the only reason the Auto Ranch has had our repeat business over the years. Thanks again for another great experience. I hope y'all are around in another 7-12 years so you can help us get these tiny tots into their own, reasonably priced, wheels one day. 😉

For the most part everything was great. The dealership charges for a ceramic coating which is ever so blatantly obvious that it hasn’t been done. I even made a hint at it with the salesman after he said it had a ceramic coat. I poured bottled water on the hood and it barely beaded off. I joked and said it wasn’t done.. I didn’t realize I was actually being charged for it until I was signing. Whatever. Editing this review because I’ve spoke with the dealership and they’ve refunded me what I was charged for a “ceramic coating.” Apparently it was actually performed over a year ago. So the way I see it, it’s a waste of money anyways if it’s not keeping the hydrophobic properties after a year of sitting on a lot. If this is charged on a car you’re considering, I’d highly recommend negotiating this out of your deal, even if it’s already been applied to the vehicle you’re purchasing. I’m pretty sure it’s nothing more than a “spray and wipe” application, not a true ceramic coating. I’ll take the time to further expand on my experience since I’m updating this review… I drove over from eastern Idaho, had an appointment, negotiated my trade and already had the deal worked out prior to my arrival. My wife was on the trade and the new vehicle and the dealership was able to do everything without her present for signing. Pretty painless, actually. I’ve purchased dozens of new cars and there’s nothing that absolutely stands out about the buying process here that would necessitate a five star review. I’m not a fan of how their website is structured, the car was listed on their main page, and their Chevy page, and only the Chevy page had the vehicles monroney sticker. Slightly confusing, and could easily be fixed. All that said I’d consider purchasing another vehicle here if they end up with the best deal… it’s almost four hours for me to drive here, couple hours for paperwork, and four hours home…so if the deal saves me enough to be worth 10 hours of my time I’ll do it.
