# Summary The dealership receives strong praise for its sales and service team's professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness, with multiple customers highlighting smooth transactions and positive interactions. However, some customers have experienced concerns regarding service quality, transparency about vehicle condition and warranty coverage, and follow-up on identified mechanical issues.
We had an amazing experience with OpenRoad Toyota Abbotsford. We’ve talked to many dealerships and agents before, but Manager Scott and Sales Agent Amrit truly stood out. They were the easiest and best people to negotiate with very professional, honest, and patient. They made the whole process smooth and stress-free, and we felt genuinely taken care of. We are very satisfied with the service we received. Highly recommended!
I stopped by OpenRoad Toyota to get help removing my old license plate since the screws were stripped and I couldn’t get them out myself. The team was incredibly helpful and took care of it right away. Special thanks to KJ (Kuljit) for assisting me so promptly and professionally. He made the whole process quick and stress-free. I have always had positive experiences with the team, from Parts to Service, and this visit was no exception. I really appreciate the excellent customer service and highly recommend OpenRoad Toyota for their friendly and efficient team.
Historically I have good vehicle service from this dealer, but, not so much now days. My last visit I went in for was an eservice 2, this was an upgrade from an eservice one but includes a mandatory $56 cabin air filter replacement that I had just done a few months before. In my previous visit I had a brake fluid change done, this visit for some reason both my from brakes are now suffering uneven wear, one side is now 7 MM and the other 11 MM of brake pad remaining… this is on the same calliper. I agreed to let them do a brake service to try and have the wear balance corrected. I mentioned that my traction battery fluid was going down around a 100 ml a month but no mention of a problem was shown on the report. When I got home I checked the level and it was below the min line on the container. I contacted the CSR and said it should have been filled and please come by to have it filled, a 90 minute round trip. I declined as I already have a bottle of fluid and after an exchange with the CSR it appears that BZ4X are just naturally inclined to burn traction battery fluid. Then I started to receive SMS text messages reminding me to fill out the survey I was sent, but never received. The message did have a link in it to an email address and when I tried to use it the server refused. Contacted the dealer and they said not ever service visit generates a survey and to ignore it, they did not address why the link I was given did not work. My latest visit has soured me from future visits to this dealer and Toyota in general.
I recently purchased a 2024 RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid here and feel compelled to share that Amrit was an amazing product advisor and helped me feel comfortable with the process right from the beginning. He was knowledgeable, friendly, patient and flexible, and I’m so glad that he was the one helping me. I wasn’t planning on purchasing a vehicle at the moment but life had other plans for me, and I must say that my whole experience at Toyota Abbotsford was a positive one. The entire team was really friendly and helpful and I’ve already recommended them to my family and friends. 5 stars for Amrit and his team!
The staff were all friendly are the buying process was very easy. It wasn't until after purchasing the vehicle (used 2018 Subaru Legacy) that I started to notice the dealership might have manipulated me. When test driving the vehicle I noticed 2 issues and told the dealer about them. I had my dad with me as this was my first time buying a car and he noticed the passenger side door wouldn't open form the inside. The dealer acknowledged this was a safety issue and told us they would have it fixed. We also noticed a whirring road noise coming from the front left wheel. My dad suspected this was the wheel bearing and requested they do an inspection and fix that as well. The dealer argued that it wasn't their responsibility to fix and also that despite the wheel bearing noise they were unable to negotiate a lower price because they are a "fair price dealership." I needed to get rid of my old car quickly and was in a hurry to get through the purchase as I started work soon after the same day. I already had to wait two days for them to fix the passenger door handle and so they convinced me that if I purchased their extended warranty any future wheel bearing or mechanical failure issues would be covered under that. It wasn't until driving to work that day on the highway that I noticed the wheel bearing noise was noticeably worse at higher speeds. During the test drive I followed the dealer's directions, wasn't on any highways and didn't really exceed the speed limit. We noticed the wheel bearing issue then, they knew about the wheel bearing issue, but nothing was done about it and they said to take it to a Subaru dealership. Now I've taken it to a Subaru dealership and after two weeks of talking back and forth with the warranty company (SecureDrive) and them trying to argue that it was the selling dealership's responsibility to fix, they've decided they're only going to cover half the cost of the wheel bearing replacement. I would have been willing to pay slightly MORE for the vehicle if they just fixed the wheel bearing before selling it to me. But this whole process has been so time consuming, with me getting phone calls at work and having to schedule days for inspections and such. Everybody was easy to work with, including the financing people, but it would have been nice if they told me that the warranty they're saying will cover everything only actually covers half of the labor cost. I guess it's not illegal to lie, but it does make you a bad business to work with.
