Palmen Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Racine

Came in to have some recalls taken care of and have my uconnect/radio/touchscreen looked at. I told them it's been locking up, creates a buzzing sound for about 20 seconds, and then shuts down and reboots itself. I told them this has occurred while reversing the truck which causes the on screen backup camera to freeze on the screen, a definite safety concern. I told them this has occurred dozens and dozens of times and actually showed them a video of it happening. They basically did nothing to the uconnect system. The service advisor, who was somewhat short with me to the point of being rude, said he did a "soft boot" of the system. I told him the system reboots itself after every time it locks up. He pretty much ignored me. When my truck was done he gave me the paperwork without reviewing it himself and then had to read the paperwork while I was holding it to see what work was actually performed. He said the recalls were taken care of and the people who actually did the work wrote that the service advisor did a reboot and that's all they could do. After reading the paperwork I told him I would be back when it locks up and reboots itself again. He said OK. Why can't they just fix the problem? Replace the uconnect system? It's still under warranty. I understand it's going to be a big job, but things malfunction and that's what warranties cover. Not standing behind your product and fixing issues the first time is poor customer service. Making customers come back to get something fixed that should have been fixed the first time is poor customer service. Being rude and not listening to your customers is poor customer service. I'm not 100% sure I will be taking my truck back to Palmen to get this issue resolved. There are other Ram dealerships in the area. Hopefully they'll actually care about my concerns, because the people at Palmen acted as though they didn't. I gave them 2 stars because they did the recalls, otherwise it would have been one star for the wasted trip to their location. Think twice before taking your vehicle here, especially if it's for something that will take more than a few minutes to fix.

I feel like I got a reasonable trade in amount and a very good end cost. Darion was great to work with and the finance guys were great too. I’ll be back for sure!

Had car for one week 2006 Chrysler Pacifica hybrid. Coolant pump failed. Wiring harness took longer than expected to arrive. Once part was in repair went quickly. Under warranty. Oil change. Washed and cleaned inside van.

Nothing short of a 5 star simple experience. Darion took the lead throughout my deal. Everything could not have been more straightforward. Total time spent was less than 1.5 hours of stress free communication. Darion's sales manager Mike was straightforward honest and direct as well. I feel like I received a very fair deal.

From the moment I walked into Palmen Company - I knew it felt a little like home. Walked in a winner of a game mailer - left with a new car that was needed for sure.
