# Summary The dealership receives mixed reviews, with customers praising individual salespeople (particularly one named Cher) for professionalism and helpfulness, while criticizing the overall sales process for undisclosed vehicle issues, inadequate pre-sale inspections, lack of price negotiation, and poor vehicle preparation. Several customers reported discovering significant problems after purchase—including paint damage, mechanical issues, and mileage discrepancies—and expressed frustration with the dealership's unwillingness to address concerns or honor stated terms.
I was interested in a vehicle Parker had listed online and they put Cher in contact with me as the sales rep. She answered multiple questions for me (which I appreciated) and knew I had to drive 5 hours (one way) to come look at it. I originally was going to walk away and not go look at it because it had zero warranty from Parker, but they ended up giving me a GM high mileage silver plan (for a fee). When we got there I began checking the vehicle out and found that it had some paint damage (see Pic). This was never disclosed by Cher or in the listing and when I pointed it out and asked for $500 off (which was very reasonable) they wouldn't budge. Ultimately we ended up getting the vehicle. My discoveries: In the GM silver plan paperwork I received it stated that one thing they would deny a warranty for was preexisting conditions and that the selling dealership should have provided a pre-owned vehicle inspection within 90 days of the sale. Well I come to find out they had done a very basic inspection as in an oil and air filter change (nothing to certify 'no preexisting conditions') and it wasn't done within the 90 days prior to sale. I also discovered that someone at the dealership had driven it about 1k miles from when it was listed so the mileage was higher than listed. I also became aware of more undisclosed paint damage where it looked like someone had uses a scotch brite pad and scrubbed where a decal had been on the rear panel (see pics). Additionally, I found that several of the recommended maintenance schedule had not been done (when they were already past due when the dealership got the vehicle) such as the transmission fluid service and spark plugs. Ultimately I ended up spending: - about $300 for a thorough vehicle inspection at my own mechanic (so the warranty people can't deny it for preexisting conditions later) - $900 for the bubbling paint damage (they buffed out the other side for free) - $950 for a transmission inspection and service Overall I'm quite displeased with Parker. Just make sure you go into any sale with plenty of time to read everything and get your own inspections. I do not recommend anyone purchase that lives more than a couple hours away. I will say that, true to her word Cher did order and send a plastic trim piece that was missing so I'm glad for that.
Very odd experience here. The vibes were weird from the get go. Not super welcoming. No negotating allowed on the price of a vehicle... very weird. They acted like they didn't really care we were even there. The car we bought was not detailed- it could have been MUCH cleaner when presented and was not filled with a full tank of gas. Prior car purchases I have made at other dealerships they took pride in detailing the vehicles and included a full tank of gas. The finance lady was good though.
BUYERS BEWARE!!! Do NOT purchase a used vehicle unless you have an experienced mechanic look at it. They do not have any integrity and do no do their due diligence on trades — just take em in a park them on the lot. Literally sold me a vehicle illegally since the seatbelt was severely damaged. No disclaimer on the window. The sales lady didn’t even come for the test drive…. Just tossed us the keys and turned us loose. Will lie about stuff being done to the vehicle and try to rush you off the lot. Had the car all of a day a the check engine light came on. When we had the codes check it was displaying codes that do not pop up without other codes popping up first, which means they cleared the codes and was hoping things didn’t play out like they did. But nonetheless it had major transmission failure. Since my trade had been paid off during the transaction I ended up loosing the a.v tax credit, which meant I had to pay the a.v tax when I found one elsewhere which caused me to pay THOUSANDS more than I should have. And to throw salt in the wound just a little more — after all of this inconvenience they had the AUDUACITY to short me on my trade amount. It was minimal but after all the hell I went through and the money they cost me, the least they could have done was kept their word. Trust me when I say you’ll want to buy ANYWHERE else. Edit to respond to their nonsense: I stand by what I said, vehicle should have never been sold in the first place and with the codes it was throwing this was not a new issue — yall just got caught. Don’t worry further appropriate reports (Georgia Consumer Protection Division, FTC (missing Buyer’s Guide), NHTSA (damaged seatbelt) will be made regarding this experience. Let’s not forget Chevrolet as well — not sure how yall supposedly have such a high rating with them with how you conduct business.
My salesperson was Cher. She was absolutely wonderful. We were greeted with a smile. Was very professional and. Knowledgeable. Explained every detail of the vehicle. Worked tirelessly to get our paperwork done in a timely manner.
It was awesome! They treated us well. We had to buy in an emergency. Cher was greatest car sale person I have ever dealt with. No pressure sale. They had us ready to go back out on the road even with it late in day and a broken trade in. Love the Acadia.
