# Summary Experiences at this dealership are sharply divided, with some customers praising individual salespeople like Ali Begin, Craig, and Tom Fratt for their professionalism and attentiveness, while others report serious issues including poor communication, incomplete pre-sale inspections, unresolved mechanical problems, and questionable deposit handling practices. The dealership's service department has received particular criticism for slow response times and failing to complete promised repairs, leaving dissatisfied customers feeling abandoned after purchase.
It was a struggle from the start with communication between all parties. it was almost as once the car was sold , their job was done. We had to keep reminding them to fill out their end of the paperwork, then within a month of owning the truck, there was already an issue (we were told everything on the car was updated and checked thoroughly). However, brake pads were not done, sensors were bad, and the truck has an awful shake that even after the service , is still doing it. It took us a week of calling to finally get across to the service department. Even now, my truck is still having issues and we are afraid to even bring it back because it seems like nothing was done except them clearing the codes on my dashboard! Very disappointed in this whole process that was supposed to be a pleasant experience. I feel like I was sold a truck with known issues and don't know what to do next. It went in for “service” and they didn’t even touch the rotors or calibers, just slapped new break pads. The second I hopped on the highway, all the issues I had the truck there for were still present! UPDATE: this was a review I left from an email, waiting for them to make it right, I only chose to post this for their eyes only. However, here I am months later, with new problems occurring on the daily. We had our first hot day last week, I turned my A/C on and it was blowing hot air. I called them to bring it in, was told “they have no diesel mechanics” and I can’t get the truck in anytime soon. I couldn’t take the hot anymore, couldn’t enjoy the comfort of my own truck, and let my lifelong friend with a huge shop check it out to see why it wasn’t working. His answer shocked me….! He told me all my wiring was “chewed up” all the way to the harness! Mind you I live in Cranston no where near the woods, lived here my whole life and not one family member, my girlfriend, friends or neighbors have had this problem ever. None of my past vehicles ever had any issues like this. Not only that, but my brakes were never changed, and that this car WAS NOT gone through at all (filters, brakes, sensors, injectors etc.) Mind you, iv called at least 10 times asking to speak to the owner, not once has he been in. The one time last week that he was in, he was “ in a meeting”. Was told he’d call back … nothing. I call the next day, and he’s on vacation for a week! I am extremely frustrated, disappointed, and fed up. I’m a 28 year old who put his hard earned money into a new truck and I’m left stranded and abandoned with a truck that has thousands of $ worth of problems that should have been fixed before I even picked the truck up!
What ever happened to dealerships that treated customers like family? My experience as this dealership was nothing short of a disappointing show of unprofessional service. I tend to let things go these days however, this unacceptable behavior must be addressed. Pre-applied online and was immediately bombarded my calls and text messages asking how soon I can make an appointment and see the car. I made time the next day after work and drove over an hour to get there before closing and even set up an appointment (Friday) The plan was to test drive the car and if i liked it, put the deposit down and return at the beginning of the week( closed Sundays). Drove it, liked it, already approved but was asked to not only put the 500 down still but also agreed to sign all documentation and necessary paperwork in order to streamline the pickup process at the beginning of week, was told by the salesman “that way you show up with the rest of the down payment and take the keys and leave”. That was far from the case. Not 15mins after leaving the dealership I got a text that stated a miscommunication between salesman and finance manager had happened and they now need the entire down payment immediately over the phone or they wont be able to hold the car for even 24hrs even with the 500 deposit. Sunday afternoon while they were closed the money was collected in full, and i let them know i will be back monday to pick up the car only to be told it sold on Saturday and they forgot to tell me. Still havent received my deposit back either. When the sales manager dwayne called to give an explanation he basically told me they don’t do deposits on used car (but they did) and he also used profanity (Then denied it but he was on speakerphone, whole car heard it) and got upset that I was upset with them basically. In summary, They took a 500 deposit for a car, finalized a deal with documentation and signatures. Then decided after I left that it wasn’t sufficient or i wasn’t trustworthy enough and sold the car the very next day not even 24hrs after my deposit was cleared. I am not only dissatisfied but feel highly discriminated against and will not only never be back to a Paul Masse dealer i will never speak a good word about one again let alone recommend it.
New vehicle purchase. Ali Begin is great. Knowledgeable about the features, electronics and capabilities. If there was any question that needed further explanation, then she got me in touch with the person that could do that. It was a complete and fun delivery and I was overwhelmed with the new bells and whistles. The best part is she is available to take calls for follow up questions as well after the sale. I would give her 10 stars but there are only 5.
Our experience was excellent. Craig was very professional and accommodating. He got us out the door with our new car quickly with no pressure or frustration. We were very happy with our experience.
Tom Fratt treated us right! The entire dealership is amazing and works hard to do the job right! Will come back for years and years. Steve Lawton Tended Seed Business Development
