I understand that mechanical problems can occur with any vehicle. My 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe required a complete engine replacement under warranty just a few weeks after I purchased it. However, the real issue wasn't the mechanical failure itself, but rather the service experience I received at Hyundai Performance Mont-Laurier. From the outset, I explained that: I didn't have a second vehicle, I live more than two hours from the dealership, and I'm self-employed and travel frequently. I completely understand that no courtesy vehicle was available. However, no concrete alternative was offered. For several days, I was kept waiting with promises of callbacks that never materialized. I had to handle virtually all the follow-up myself to get answers regarding my situation. The most frustrating thing is learning, after nearly two months of communication with Hyundai Canada, that a lease refund seemed possible, information that was never communicated to me during the repairs. I also took the time to write directly to Ms. Chantal Lussier, the dealership manager, with all the supporting documents related to my lease. After more than 15 business days, I still haven't received a response. At this point, the impression is simply that they're hoping the customer will give up on the case. A very disappointing overall experience, both in terms of service and the lack of follow-up.
