# Summary The dealership receives praise from satisfied customers who highlight exceptional sales staff like Dusty and Tiffany who provide attentive service, willingness to accommodate special requests, and efficient handling of out-of-state purchases. However, negative reviews cite significant problems in the service department, including poor communication, excessive charges, incomplete work, lack of accountability, and unprofessional management that left customers frustrated and dissatisfied.
We have to say we had a great experience purchasing my truck and it was all because of Dusty! We drove 472 miles from Colorado because I couldn’t find one I liked there. Dusty made every effort to make us feel comfortable and assured that the truck was what we wanted before making that long trip. He was absolutely right. Truck is great and he went the extra mile to make everything perfect for us. We had such a good experience we would consider making that trip again to purchase another vehicle from Dusty.
Permian GMC in Hobbs, NM had just the vehicle I was looking for and I was really happy to find it in-state. The purchase was a 2026 GMC Hummer SUV. My needs/wants were specific. First this was a purchase for my business. Second I’m particular to white with black trim/rims. Tiffany was the sales person that assisted me. I informed her that I needed a quick turnaround and delivery. Tiffany answered all of my questions, worked late and provided resources to ship the Hummer to me in Albuquerque. The whole process was so efficient, I really felt like I bought the car locally. If you are hesitant to buy from this dealership from out of town, don’t be. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Tiffany and the Team at Permian for their attention to detail and creating a happy customer.
My experience dealing with Kendra at Permian Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac was extremely frustrating and disappointing. What was initially supposed to be a simple inspection ended up being left incomplete without clear explanation. Later, it was said that the process was waiting on payment approval, which delayed the progress of the vehicle unnecessarily. The vehicle remained at the dealership for about 9 days without proper movement or follow-up. On the first day it was brought in, the battery was drained by the staff, which prevented the window from being closed, leaving it open overnight. During that time, an animal got inside the vehicle, leaving visible paw prints. This was brought to Kendra’s attention, but the only action taken was to loosely cover the vehicle with plastic. There is nearby construction, and with strong winds, dust was blowing directly toward where the vehicles are kept. Even with this, the interior still ended up getting dirty with dust, which shows a lack of proper care. After getting the vehicle back, it was discovered that there was a rat inside, which had ended up in the cabin air filter area and died there. There were also concerns about possible rodent issues in the service area, which makes the situation even more concerning. A major cause of delay was the failure to send simple photos required for insurance approval. Once those were finally sent, a completion date was given, but by that day the vehicle had not even been moved into service. Only after repeated follow-ups was the vehicle finally attended to. Communication was consistently poor. Promised calls and updates were not made, requiring in-person visits to get any progress. Even when the vehicle was ready early in the day, the payment process was delayed until later in the afternoon, only after it was brought up again, causing yet another unnecessary delay. Despite understanding that the dealership may be handling multiple vehicles, this does not justify the lack of timely follow-up. Sending the required information only took a few minutes once it was addressed, which shows the delays could have been avoided with proper attention. The following day, the process was delayed again due to issues accepting the payment method, which added more time to an already extended situation. Throughout this experience, Kendra showed a lack of urgency, follow-through, and professionalism. It felt like unless constant attention was given to the situation, nothing would move forward. Customers depend on their vehicles and expect timely service, not repeated delays and lack of communication. Overall, this experience reflects poor customer service, lack of accountability, and unnecessary delays that could have been avoided with proper attention and responsibility.
Our experience started with a gentleman greeting us outside. We thought he was our dealer but he wasn’t. He was so happy to run and tell Chad we were there. Also, we had two other gentlemen helping us through our visit there. They were happy to get us a box of tissue. We love the way all your employees work together. Very good experience
If I could give the service department ZERO stars, I would. Charging way over MSRP for parts. Charging way longer labor times than what is actually needed to fix the issue. Wanted me to pay $300+ for their uncharges, even after I talked to the extended warranty. They called me to pick up my vehicle at 4:45pm and expected me to figure something out with the warranty company in 15 minutes. I got there to pick up my vehicle, and they wouldn’t release it to me because I didn't want to pay the diagnostic fee, when it was already included in the claim. (Mind you they close at 5, and there was no one to even take my payment) Manager was a joke, and threatened to call the cops on me because I wouldn’t leave without my vehicle after hours, because like I said.. they called me at 4:45. Long story short, they won. I didn't leave with my vehicle. I’ll be back tomorrow to pick up my vehicle and I’ll find somewhere more professional to get my vehicle looked at! Don’t waste your time.
