We bought a car from Ariel Lopez, he was patient, very hospitable, and really worked with us to get us the vehicle we wanted and didn’t waste any time. His communication was top notch and he made what is usually a very tedious experience, a very pleasant one. His follow up is also exceptional. Not pleased with the purchase of a CPO 2022 Acura RDX. Despite the vehicle being inspected at least 3 times, certified by Acura - AND - inspected and certified by a 3rd party inspector the vehicle arrived not looking like a 2022 with only 35K miles. The exterior cosmetic condition looks closer to a vehicle with 100K + miles with considerable sub-par paint work. The 3rd party inspection certificate is inaccurate and does not disclose all the damage. There is noticeable paint work on panels that the report claims were "original" and undisclosed cosmetic damage and issues elsewhere. I bought this vehicle remotely from Virginia with a perceived assurance from the Acura CPO and the 3rd party report that this vehicle was in much better condition. I am extremely disappointed with what was delivered last night 10/09/25. Additionally, the buying process with this dealer was cumbersome. Not only did I have to digitally sign documents twice (which for some reason isn't feasible for remote sales with this dealer), I also paid them a $399 fee to have a notary come to my home to sign forms which were not done correctly causing the dealer to re-send the docs. I had to then take the docs to my credit union to have them re-notarized and mail them back out. They covered the cost of that but was unexpected time out of my day to keep the process moving. The staff I dealt with were good. They were friendly, kept me informed, and were supportive throughout the process. I'd give 5 stars to them for that, however the fact that they completely whiffed on the condition of the vehicle and their ignorance of the vehicle's condition knocks that down. Selling, inspecting, servicing, and certifying Acuras is what an Acura dealer does. Phil Smith Acura missed the target big time on this one. We'll see how they handle the post-delivery issues. That will tell the true tale of their integrity - and I’ll be sure to tell it… 10/14/25 Update: I've called twice since 10/10/25 and get a voice message from the number you provided below. I've left a voice message and then get a text message asking to text YES to get a response, but nothing yet. The only response I've gotten from anyone is the salesperson on 10/11/25 that has offered to pay out of his own pocket for a paint pen. I would never ask nor expect an employee to do something like that. The failures continue... Also contacted Acura directly to try and reach you and still get your voicemail. 10/17/25 Update: I have called and left at least 3 messages for you and nothing heard yet. Seems as though the reply to this review was just performative. Losing a star... 10/21/25 Update: I've emailed you on 10/17/25 and still no reply. Apparently this is a ghost situation. But, maybe of service to the rest of the readers out there.
