# Summary The dealership receives widespread praise for its friendly, knowledgeable staff, transparent pricing, and respectful customer service that makes the buying process straightforward and pressure-free. However, one customer reported a negative experience involving dismissive management, refusal to allow a third-party inspection on a used vehicle with diagnostic codes, and aggressive sales tactics that ultimately resulted in a lost sale.

I purchased a vehicle from matt and had a great experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured during the process. They took the time to answer all my questions, explain my options clearly, and helped me find a vehicle that fit both my needs and my budget. The buying process was smooth and straightforward, and the team made sure everything was handled efficiently. I especially appreciated how transparent they were about pricing and financing. It made the entire experience much less stressful than I expected. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and the level of customer service I received. If you’re looking for a dealership that treats customers with respect and makes the car-buying process easy, I would definitely recommend Pinckney CDJR. I would be buying another vehicle from them in the future.

Thank you to Matt and the used car staff for making this transaction so easy. Brian was super quick but also took a few minutes to make my daughter feel comfortable with her new vehicle. The finance manager had all of the docs ready for signature, allowing us to get in and out in a timely fashion, just as I had requested. Price negotiation as fair. Matt and Brian went out of their way to work out the perfect deal for us. I couldn't of asked for a better experience!!

My experience with Pinckney Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram was genuinely refreshing. Buying a vehicle can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Matt Duggan made the entire process straightforward and comfortable. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to explain things clearly without any pressure. What stood out most was how respectful and honest the interaction felt. Matt Duggan made sure I had the information I needed and never made the experience feel like a typical sales pitch. Instead, it felt like someone who actually cared about helping me make the right decision. That kind of professionalism is rare these days and it really deserves to be recognized. I don’t usually take the time to leave reviews, but this was one of those experiences that felt worth mentioning. When you leave a place feeling confident about your decision rather than second-guessing it, you know you had a good experience.

I was looking for a used mini van and contacted Pickney Chrysler Dodge and talk with April in sales. She was very professional and I came out the next day and look at 2 Pacifica. Both are nice vehicles and she gave me great customer service and gave a good deal. Unfortunately we did not get one of their vehicles. But she was very knowledgeable and gave us great service. I will keep her in mind for my next purchase. April is five stars great service and follow up. Thanks Chris

Friday Jan 30 I contacted Pinckney CDJR regarding a 2017 F350. Zach, my sales contact, was exceptional—providing a 360 walk-around video and maintaining great communication despite me being 100 miles away. I inquired about warranty offerings; I was told the finance manager wasn’t in, but the used car manager would investigate. That never happened [foreshadowing moment]. Monday Feb 2 – Wed Feb 4 After some scheduling shifts due to weather and appointments, I got my financing and insurance in order. My bank had issues with the price point for the age, so I applied for dealer financing on Tuesday. Despite follow-ups, I didn't hear back until Wednesday evening—only after I informed them my own lender made an exception and I was fully funded via wire transfer. Suddenly, I received two credit inquiry notifications. They apparently only ran my application once they knew I didn't need them. Thursday Feb 5 I took the day off work and drove 200+ miles roundtrip, arriving around 10:45 AM. The truck was clean and well-prepared. During a 20-minute test drive, I discovered the physical speedometer read 10 mph slower than the digital one (confirmed via GPS). The truck then threw a TPMS code. As this is a $50,000 investment with no warranty, I ran my scan tool. I found several codes (BCM, HVAC, IPC, PCM, and others). Concerned if these were active or just old battery issues, I sat down with Zach. He was receptive and took notes. However, within minutes, I was interrupted mid-sentence by the used car manager, Matt. Matt hastily introduced himself and rudely interrupted my explanation to flippantly exclaim they had another customer coming to buy the truck. I was simply asking for a 3rd party inspection at a Ford dealer. The pressure was immense—buy now or we’ll sell it to someone else. It felt like "how dare I be an educated consumer." We began to argue due to his disrespectful and dismissive tone. Joe, the GM, stepped in to deescalate. Joe was more professional, but the message was the same: they refused to let a Ford dealer inspect the truck. I was told I should have done my "due diligence" in advance. I told them that’s all I need to know about the vehicles they sell and walked out. I have never been treated with such disregard by a business I was about to hand $50,000 to. To Zach: I’m sorry Matt’s gross negligence blew your deal. You deserve a better employer. To Joe: You conducted yourself like a professional, even if we didn't see eye to eye. To Matt: Under no circumstance do you belong in a managerial role. You have no concept of candor or couth. To Dan (Owner): I hope you don't condone your business being run this way. Not all consumers are naive or easily bullied. I cannot recommend a dealer that refuses 3rd party inspections. By denying that request, you made it crystal clear what type of business you conduct. Final Update: The dealership contacted me moments before I posted this. Apparently, their “cash in hand” customer who “did his due diligence” backed out. They were now going to "allow me" to get the truck inspected by a Ford dealer. I will not now or ever purchase a vehicle from Pinckney CDJR out of principle due to the actions that took place herein. I encourage others to refrain as well. The scan codes could have been old or reoccuring, but we will never know due to their shortsightedness and disrespect.
