# Summary Experiences at this dealership are highly polarized, with some customers praising transparent sales practices and professional staff members like Paul Newmark and Jessica, while the majority report significant frustrations with service department performance, including long wait times, damage to vehicles, dismissive attitudes from staff, and poor communication. Multiple customers describe feeling undervalued and considering alternative dealers due to unresolved issues and lack of accountability.
Extremely poor customer service at VW of Pleasantville. After waiting over a year to schedule a recall (due to their backlog), they cancelled my appointment without any explanation. Long hold times every time I call, and when someone finally picks up, they’re rude and unhelpful. Rose Mary was dismissive and rushed me off the phone. Sadly, this isn’t new—my routine maintenance appointment here had the same attitude. If this wasn’t the closest dealership to me, I wouldn’t come here. Very unprofessional and frustrating experience overall.
UPDATE after two years of being a loyal customer: My previously spotless and dent-free 2-year-old car had five dents when I went to it pick up after a recent repair at Presitge Imports. No one informed me about this damage. As shown in the picture, they hadn’t even bothered to clean the repair spot or remove the residue of the tape they had used while having me wait for a part. When I pointed out the dents, there was no apology, but the service advisor Rosemarie Brancaccio promised to have them fixed. It took numerous calls and several attempts to finally secure an appointment for the repair, and as usual, there was no loaner car provided. The result was very disappointing: only two of the dents were fixed, and now there was new damage to the molding around the tire. Again, there was no acknowledgement or apology. This time, Rosemarie accused me of lying, adding insult to injury. Fortunately, I had taken pictures and videos every time I brought my car in for repair, making it easy to prove that the damage occurred at the dealership. The dents are all around the repair area, likely caused by the improper use of a tool to fix the charger cover. Rosemarie asked me to email her the pictures and she will show them to the service manager when the manager arrives. I did email her right away but have not heard back. I have not seen or been able to talk to a manager all this time. I always found Prestige a nice friendly local dealership unlike any other dealership I had dealt with. I now truly regret trusting them for service. I’ve reached out to VW Customer Care and will update my review if anything changes. Not very hopeful though. I hope this review helps someone. Initial review: I’ve worked with Jessica at sales and Rosemarie at service and they’re both wonderful!
I spoke to my salesperson Jessica and she told me to drop off the car at 11am so they could fix the touch screen panel which was not working. The service department was not very friendly. I should be greeted with smiles and graciousness. That was not the case. I did not feel like a valued customer especially since my car is a few months old and should not be already having issues. After waiting 2.5 hours for the diagnostics to be done I was told they had to order a new part and that I would have to come back. Again I was treated like an inconvenience. Next time there is an issue with the car I am considering going to another VW dealer.
I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a vehicle from Paul Newmark at Prestige Imports and I cannot express how impressed I am with the exceptional service and professionalism displayed by their team. From the moment I stepped onto the lot to the day I drove off in my new car, the entire experience was nothing short of outstanding. One aspect that truly sets Prestige Imports apart is their commitment to transparency. There were no hidden fees or surprises during the negotiation process. The sales representative, Paul Newmark was honest and forthright, providing me with all the information I needed to make an informed decision. This level of transparency instilled a sense of trust that is often hard to find in the automotive industry. I appreciated the thorough explanation of the financing terms and options, which made me feel confident in my decision. Overall, my experience with Prestige was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, customer-focused dealership. Thank you to the entire team at Prestige for making my car buying experience truly memorable!
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Although, my sales experience with Andrew was fabulous , I was sold a lemon. The car has under a thousand miles and has a laundry list of issue including the safety features shutting down while driving in which they couldn’t figure out or fix. The woman at the service desk is extremely unhelpful and the communication is absolutely the worst I’ve experienced with a car dealership while trying to figure out what was wrong. I will be taking my vehicle to the other VW in the area as they seem much more competent.
