# Summary The dealership receives praise for its sales experience, with customers highlighting professional and friendly staff who make the purchasing process comfortable and straightforward. However, the service department has faced significant criticism regarding incomplete work, billing errors, quality control issues, and safety concerns such as loose lug nuts and unperformed services.
SUCH a great experience at Preston Chevrolet in Aberdeen! This is the 2nd vehicle we’ve purchased with Denie Bazuine. He’s very professional yet laid back. The dealership made everything so easy. The other salespeople + manager were friendly + helpful. The location is easy to get to + not one of those giant, glossy dealerships where you feel like they price the cars to help pay off the building. Inside is very tidy and CLEAN. You don’t have to wait for someone to call your name over the PA system- they are all rigjt there. When its time to help our daughter buy a car, we will absolutely come here.
I have tried to still have good feelings about this dealership since it changed names but I just cannot try anymore. My elderly father came into the service department and made an appointment to drop off his truck for service. He dropped it the night before and put his keys in the drop box. At 4:30 the next day we called to check on it since they didn't call him to pick it up and we were told by the person who answered that they were new and didn't realize there was a drop box there. So you leave a random vehicle parked in front of the service door all day?? One that was scheduled to be brought in!!! Also, are you the only one working in the service department?? I'm thinking the first thing that should be checked each morning is that night drop. Especially if there is already a vehicle parked at your door before you're even open. That is a new one and never did I ever think something this bad could or would happen. It's so sad that a gentleman who has stayed loyal to the old dealership and now the new one is treated this poorly. He walked into the building and made the appointment and his truck sat all day. If we didn't call to see what was happening it would have been there all night again. That is beyond poor service. I just can't wrap my head around that at all. I still can't believe what we were told. I do hope they make some changes that actually will mean something to those customers that are trying to hang in there. I however think I am done. Now to find someone else to take care of his service that wasn't done.
I usually never leave a bad review the first time I go somewhere, but here we are. This is quite frankly the worst experience I have ever had at mechanic, let alone a dealership. When someone schedules an appointment for 0730 and it’s for a recall fix and an oil change with a tire rotation they should leave that day with those things done. It is now 7hrs later and only half of that was done. When you say that yes we will have all of them done in about 2- 2 1/2hrs but you get half of it done in 5 hours. To top it off I get home and notice that all of my tires are low on pressure so that multi point inspection and recalibration is a lie. All that to say I went to get a safety recall done and an oil change with rotation, left with low air pressure in my tires, no safety recall done, 2hr job done in 5hrs, and asked if I want to come back another day for the recall. No I’m good I will go somewhere else I can trust thanks. Preston service you knew you didn’t have the part could have saved me time and trust and gained a customer. Instead I wouldn’t take a team of Billy goats to be fixed by you.

I had my 2017 Chevrolet Impala towed to Preston Chevrolet of Aberdeen after the vehicle would not start following a recent freeze. After diagnosis, I was advised that suspension repairs were needed, including front struts and sway bar links. I also requested spark plug replacement and TPMS sensor installation. The spark plugs were replaced. However, I was initially billed for TPMS installation and tire rotation and balancing that were not performed. After reviewing the invoice and raising the issue, Amy acknowledged that she was aware the TPMS work had not been completed and stated that she forgot to remove it from the invoice. The charges were later reversed. I was also asked if I wanted the windshield washer fluid reservoir replaced because it was cracked due to freezing. I declined that repair. While installing a new reservoir myself afterward, I discovered that the left front lug nuts had been left loose. I re-torqued them to ensure the vehicle was safe to drive. I was not informed that the lug nuts had been loosened, and no explanation was provided. This is a serious safety concern. During the visit, front struts and sway bar links were replaced. The invoice does not reflect a wheel alignment following the strut replacement, which is typically recommended after suspension work that affects steering geometry. After the repair, the vehicle drifts slightly to the right while driving. Additionally, my engine cover was removed during service and was not reinstalled. The dealership was unable to locate my original cover and had to reorder a replacement, which was ultimately provided at no charge. When installing the replacement myself, I discovered that one of the mounting fasteners was missing. I contacted the dealership again, and Darius advised that the correct part had been ordered. However, I was given the wrong hardware, so I went to Autozone to obtain the correct fastener. While the dealership corrected the billing and provided replacement parts at no charge, the number of oversights during a single visit, including invoicing incomplete work, loose lug nuts, missing engine cover, incorrect and missing mounting hardware, and the lack of documented alignment after suspension work, raises serious concerns about quality control and final inspection procedures. Due to this experience, I will not return for service work.
