[update: dropping to 3 stars bc the terms of the lease were changed on me at the last minute. Very disappointing and def left a bad taste in my mouth on what had until then been a very positive experience.] Specifically, when I went to the Finance Dept, they (Jude) changed the terms of my lease on me—the salesperson (John) had told me before buying. As a female first-time car buyer (age 40, but have lived in NYC for the last 17 years, using only public transportation), I was worried a car salesperson would try to take advantage of me. Instead, the salesperson I worked with at Kia, John (Jamal) Elgelda was professional, kind, patient, helpful, direct and willing to answers my endless questions. When test driving, I asked to drive on the freeway, to have John drive me in the front passenger seat, and then the backseat. I asked him to walk me through multiple permutations each of buying and leasing a 2026 Sportage EX. He do so, happily and patiently. He never pressured me or tried to shmooze me. I decided to lease a 2026 Sportage EX. Has been an amazing experience all around! Thanks so much, John!! Putnam Kia should acknowledge John’s stellar performance. Truly! (He did not ask me to write this. I sought out how to provide feedback bc he was so wonderful! 🤗).

It truly felt like a collaborative and fair discussion rather than a typical back-and-forth sales experience. Jude, the finance manager, made the paperwork portion incredibly smooth. He explained everything clearly, kept communication direct and transparent, and ensured the signing process was efficient and stress-free. Overall, this was one of the smoothest car-buying experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend working with John and Jude at Putnam Kia if you’re looking for honesty, professionalism, and a hassle-free experience.

My rating is due to the great customer service SAMANTHA and JUDE gave. It was my first time at a dealership to get my own car, so I was really nervous. But the Putnam Kia Team was awesome! Everyone had a smile on their face, was super friendly, and the dealership itself was clean. While I was waiting to get my car detailed and some gas in the tank, I was able to watch how the other people in sales engaged with the other clients. It was really nice to see everyone being professional and ready to help! Samantha was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable about the car. I came in with my sister to initially test drive the 2026 Kia K5 GT-Line and ended up leaving with it due to her. Throughout the drive, it wasn’t awkward at all— as if I was merely driving around with a friend. That’s how comfortable we felt! Jude, who’s in finance (I believe the offices are shared with Toyota) was also awesome! The process for the paperwork was really smooth and didn’t take long to finish at all. It wasn’t as intimidating as it would seem thanks to his friendly personality and humor. Plus, the car itself is a 10/10! She’s incredibly smooth and easy to drive. All the features are so incredible, especially that panoramic sunroof, and my family also likes this car. Especially my dog! Besides, the red leather seats are to die for. I’d 100% recommend this dealership if you’re looking to test drive or buy a car!

Had a great experience with the Service Department. Marlon immediately contacted me when I requested an appointment. When I arrived, he met me right away and correctly identified the issues with my car by just having a quick look. He was courteous and helpful. My car ended needing to be in the shop for three weeks for a replacement transmission. The Manager Chris was fantastic, following up throughout the process and giving updates. Will definitely be back for service needs.
