The dealership receives praise for smooth sales transactions and friendly staff, but faces significant criticism regarding service department delays, poor communication, and technical incompetence that has frustrated multiple customers. While the sales experience appears efficient and straightforward, the service department's pattern of unresponsiveness, extended repair timelines, and preventable mistakes has driven customers to seek service elsewhere.

There was no hassling around. The vehicle was ready when we arrived. The transaction was quick (no all day in the dealership like most cars we've purchased. Chris the owner and the rest of the staff were very nice. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a straightforward no hassle deal.

Service Department could be better. Gave them a second chance (after a previous negative experience) and still not impressed. Reinforced the reason I do not use them for OEM services. Dropped off the vehicle for an error code and two weeks later still was not looked at. Called last week to check in and they said end of week. Called this week (since I did not hear from them) and response was haven’t looked at it, with no time given. I understand busy, but having a vehicle for two weeks and still not looked at, some inefficiencies should be addressed. I certainly should have read the reviews prior to dropping off, there are very similar experiences. Certainly will not be returning to them. Ended up pulling it, to take it to Newport News for service. Shame cannot keep local, but it is what it is.

Great people to deal with until they get your money. Then they turn into babbling idiots. I bought a new jeep and it developed a popping noise out of the exhaust pipe at idle. As par for the course they claimed it was normal. To make a long story short I took it to a different shop for a diagnosis and the noise was not normal and it had a valve not sealing properly. I traded it in the next day and will never buy another Mopar and dam sure not anything from quinn motors.

I’ve known Adam Quinn for over 35 years and I don’t believe Quinn is a bad dealership overall but I am reviewing my recent experience with their service department, and that experience was frustrating enough to make it my last. I brought my 2500 Cummins Ram in for an emissions-related recall. The initial visit went smoothly they replaced a sensor and it cleared the code. For a few months, everything was fine. But in May, the truck went into limp mode again. It was still under warranty, so I brought it back to Quinn. That’s when the real problems began. The repair took three weeks, during which I relied on Ubers and rentals, but what bothered me most wasn’t the wait—it was the total lack of communication. Every time I called for an update, I was told the same thing: “I was just about to call you.” Not once, not twice more than ten times. That’s not just bad timing it’s a script. It makes you feel like they either don’t care, or they think you’re not smart enough to notice the pattern. When I finally picked up the truck, it ran for less than 40 miles before we started seeing smoke. It turns out the DEF line wasn’t hooked up properly during the repair, so DEF fluid was leaking out and burning on the hot emission system. I called immediately. They said someone would call me back. No one did. By Monday, I had to send them video proof that DEF was pouring out. Only then did they agree to cover the tow but I had to arrange it myself. That’s not how service should work. The truck sat at the dealership again. More silence. More “I was just about to call you.” When I finally got a hold of someone, I was literally on hold waiting for an update when I got a call from the same person I was waiting on saying she was “just about to call me” and didn’t realize I was on hold. It would be funny if it wasn’t so exhausting. In total, my truck was down nearly five weeks, and what should’ve been a straightforward warranty issue turned into a game of phone tag, vague updates, and preventable mistakes. This wasn’t a one-off moment it was a pattern. If it happened to me this many times, it’s probably happening to others, too. To be clear, I didn’t buy my truck from Quinn I only used their service department. And while I’m sure there are great people there, this department needs serious help. It’s not just about delays or mistakes it’s about communication, accountability, and respect. You can’t keep telling customers the same line over and over and expect them to believe it. So, Ram needs to build more reliable emissions systems. If a dealership’s techs aren’t properly trained on diesel equipment, they should be sent back for training l or refer diesel jobs to someone who is. And most importantly: Communicate honestly with customers. Own your mistakes. Don’t treat people like they won’t notice when you dodge responsibility. I still believe the Quinn family are good people. But if this service department doesn’t improve how it treats customers, they’re going to lose a lot more of them. I'm a content creator with about 200 million views a year and my content is based on vehicles fleets maintenance diesel equipment life cycles of equipment etc and if I get treated like that when I could just throw out an article any day to call this out this is not a rob exclusive issue and from some of the other complaints that I've read on here in terms of reviews it's pretty common

We have previously taken our truck in because it was throwing codes. When they finally got it to the back the codes had gone off. Told they couldn’t figure it out unless the codes were there. Today it happened again and took it immediately. Excuse this time was they didn’t have anyone there who could diagnose it, it’d be next week sometime before we can look at it. This is absolutely ludicrous. If you’re going to be the only RAM dealership in town, have qualified mechanics there. Ridiculous!!
