# Summary Experiences at this dealership vary significantly, with some customers praising exceptional sales and service staff for their professionalism, transparency, and willingness to go above and beyond, while others report overcharging issues, dismissive treatment, and significantly higher pricing compared to competitors. The inconsistency suggests that customer satisfaction may depend heavily on which staff member assists them, though concerns about diagnostic fees, service estimates, and credit card surcharges indicate potential systemic issues.
After 14 years as a loyal customer, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent service experience, which has led me to the decision to no longer use your service department. When dropping off my vehicle, I was first informed of a $230 minimum diagnostic fee. I was subsequently quoted $4,150 for two major repairs, plus an additional $150 for a cabin filter. I explicitly declined these services and picked up my car. However, the written estimate I received upon pickup included the cabin filter I had denied and omitted one of the major repairs I was quoted. Despite my clarification that I did not authorize the work, I was charged $351 for the diagnostic fee and the filter. Furthermore, I sought a second opinion from an independent Volvo specialist. They informed me that blower motor repairs are uncommon for a vehicle with my mileage and suggested the issue might simply be debris. They inspected my vehicle and confirmed that both the blower motor and coolant pump are in perfect working order. Additionally, the independent shop replaced my rear brake pads for $250, significantly less than the $432 quoted by Rickenbaugh. I have never experienced such poor service or unexpected charges at your dealership. Whether this is an issue with the specific service representative or a shift in company policy, I find it unacceptable. I will not be returning to Rickenbaugh Volvo and wanted to share this feedback so that other customers might avoid a similar experience.
Weird vibe here, like we didn’t belong. Service center was rude and treated us like idiots, and the Showroom was awkward and we didn’t even get to talk to a sales rep. If you’re looking to have your Volvo serviced or looking to buy one (they’re great cars), I highly recommend checking out McDonald Volvo. They actually treat their customers with respect and professionalism. Also, it’s very weird to see a 2.75% credit card pricing surcharge at a car dealership for luxury vehicles.
We walked into the dealership looking to trade my old jeep wrangler. I had already test driven the Volvo XC60 model and knew I liked. We were paired with Kristen for our sales person and she was absolutely incredible!! She streamlined the process so it with the paperwork, test drive, trade in value and sale of the car it only took about an hour and a half. Would recommend 10/10 the service was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this dealership to anyone!! And definitely work with Kristen !
I recently changed from another local dealership to Rickenbaugh as I was extremely upset with the customer service they offered to a loyal customer. My service advisor, Chris at Rickenbaugh was great, he was upfront about the price of my 100,000 service before I attended the dealership. He communicated via text every stage. The next day after my service I had an issue with an a/c vent and Chris arranged for me to bring it down the following week. I was running late for my service appointment and Chris still got my issues addressed. Chris got the manger involved. They took it to be fixed by the service tech and they did not charge me, even after explaining it was not something their service department would have touched. They said it is due to old age but they clearly wanted to keep me a happy customer. I am so impressed they were open to my perspective of what I thought transpired. The Manager took control of the situation and got it sorted out for immediately, I was out of there in 30 minutes. This is the kind of company I want to be loyal to and continue doing business with. Customers want to feel like they are valued and they are getting value for their money. I feel Rickenbaugh, Chris and his manager went above and beyond for me today. Thank you Nick Pacifico for allowing your staff to treat customers this way. I will be referring Rickenbaugh Volvo to others.
Rickenbaugh Volvo makes the car-buying and ownership experience feel more like a partnership than a transaction. Their team goes above and beyond—Beau, Ron, Billy, Ryan, Gabriel and Marie are each proof that professionalism and personality can go hand-in-hand. Brandon’s detailing work deserves a special shoutout—he makes the interiors look like they just rolled off the line. The quick response times are impressive, but what really stands out is how each person makes you feel supported at every step. The showroom itself is sleek, welcoming, and stocked with thoughtful and sustainable amenities, and with locations both in the heart of downtown Denver and close to 6th Ave, convenience is baked into the experience. Where Volvo’s Scandinavian cool meets Denver hospitality.
