# Service Department Summary The dealership receives sharply divided feedback, with some customers praising individual staff members for fair treatment and responsive service, while others report significant issues including unresolved mechanical problems, poor communication, and lack of follow-through on promised accommodations. Major concerns cited include repeated failed repair attempts, extended vehicle downtime without adequate loaner support, and unresponsive management, contrasting with positive experiences during the sales process.
I would strongly avoid Rodeo Ford’s service department for any major repairs. I drive a 2018 Shelby Ford Raptor, and what started as a simple check engine light turned into a nightmare. Last year, they replaced the engine, turbos, and PCM for over $25,000. Shortly after getting the truck back, the check engine light returned. Since then, the truck has been in and out of the shop multiple times due to their inability to properly diagnose the issue. Now it has been in the shop for over six weeks, and after multiple failed repair attempts, they concluded the engine needs to be replaced again, which is unacceptable for a truck that just had a full engine replacement. Communication has been terrible. My service advisor, Armando, rarely responds, and calling the service manager, Darren, goes straight to voicemail with no callbacks despite leaving detailed messages requesting callbacks. He acknowledged they should be giving weekly updates, but that lasted only the first few weeks the truck was in the shop. The last meaningful communication I received was on February 9th regarding a loaner vehicle, again with empty promises about “double checking” and it is now the 19th and I have yet to hear from anyone. This is my work truck, and being without it for weeks with no loaner has been extremely difficult. Darren previously told me on our phone call, “We’ll take care of you,” mentioning a loaner or full interior detail, but none of that has happened. On top of the engine issues, I’ve experienced intermittent check engine lights, rough idle, and inconsistent turbo power after their repairs. Even basic customer care was missing, no courtesy wash or vacuum after major service work. I will never bring another vehicle to Rodeo Ford for service.
Rodeo Ford is amazing. I have bought several vehicles here and everyone has always been awesome! I am always treated fairly and they always give me the best deal possible. Highly recommend Rodeo Ford!
Hector was extremely easy to work with and most importantly he listened to us! I never once felt like he was trying to push us like other dealerships had and he answered every single one of my questions up front, every time! Other dealerships (looking at you Peoria Ford) would skate around my questions and not give me an answer all in hopes of getting me in person to come sign some sort of a deal. In reality, that’s what pushed us away and Hector never once made us feel that way. Of course we are a sale for him but he treated us with respect and really made sure we got what we wanted in a car. Also have to shout out Eddie in finance because he was also very nice and respectable to work with compared to what we’ve had in past car buying experiences. He explained our options for add ons to financing without making us feel like he was trying to slime us just for the sake of a sale. They worked with us on our outside financing to make sure we could take the car home that day still. Overall the best car buying experience we’ve ever had and assuming the car we bought holds up to great standards we will continue to return her for our next purchases! 10/10 recommend!
Wayne at Rodeo Ford was excellent to work with. He was tactful, friendly, relatable, and stayed on top of everything throughout the process. He helped get me to the right price and made the whole experience smooth and timely. Overall, he was a great sales rep and a great person. I’d definitely recommend him.
I give four starts here’s why. I saw improvement from reviews in my experience people claimed issues with getting a loaner they gave me one same day so + there. They did work quickly to find the issue and ordered and when parts were finally arrived + there and topped my gas so left with a complete tank another +.Here’s where my concern is the truck was bought from them not even 24 hours to go right back so please do a deeper inspection if something is loose make sure it’s secured before you sell a vehicle not a service department issue general issue both need to keep in mind. I haven’t received any notice or anything on what happened to the truck during the repair or report please keep things on the book and provide proper documentation with the keys and don’t try and say $500 for the second pair that truck has two keys programmed I can see on the dash just hand them over - there that’s in general. In the six days it sat in the parking lot the truck battery went into some power save mode multiple times even when in shop - there. These may be small but do make things a lot better so please keep these in mind for future. And on the app there are reports make sure there is details on it please. This is the general mix keep things in the books more in the future please. I really do thank the service department for doing a great service and repair and ensuring I had something in the meantime please do keep these in mind in the future thank you.
