# Summary Patrons frequently praise the dealership's sales team for professionalism, reasonable pricing, and exceptional post-purchase support, with several customers highlighting positive experiences with specific salespeople and service staff who went above and beyond to resolve vehicle issues. However, one customer reported significant service department failures, including poor communication, lack of proper authorization procedures, and excessive unauthorized test driving of their vehicle.
Second vehicle purchased through hilltop, They are absolutely the best! friendly, understanding, your not just a paycheck to them. Prices are very reasonable compared to other dealerships around them. Highly recommend!
On June 6, 2025 my 2020 Silverado RST was brought to Hilltop Chevy for a suspected oil leak. The service technician found the front of the oil pan gasket was leaking. The truck was fixed under warranty. On December 8, 2025 the truck was sent back to Hilltop Chevy was another suspected oil leak. The service technician found the rear of the oil pan gasket was leaking. The truck was fixed under warranty. On January 15, 2026 the truck was sent back to Hilltop Chevy for a third time for a suspect oil leak, only 1,400 miles since the truck was last there. When the appointment was made I asked the service department to look beyond the oil pan for the suspected oil leak. The truck was dropped off on Wednesday, January 14, 2025 and the keys were handed to a Service Advisor. At no point in time was any paperwork signed. On January 15th I did not receive any communication from the dealership regarding the status of my truck. Due to receiving no communication on the truck I drove to the dealership in the evening to see if my truck was done and sitting outside. The truck could not be found anywhere. At 8am on Friday, January 16th I called the service department looking for an update. I was told the shop foreman was working on the truck and the gallant plug was leaking and had been fixed. I informed the service advisor I needed the truck back that afternoon as it was my only vehicle. I was met with a pause and a hesitant response. I was told I would receive a phone call around lunch time. A phone call was not received until 2pm stating the truck was done. And my boyfriend received the phone call, not myself the actual owner of the truck. When the truck was picked that afternoon it had an additional 53 miles on it with a quarter tank of gas gone. When my boyfriend questioned the service manager about the extra miles he was told that those extra miles would not affect the value of the truck, there was no way 53 miles would use a quarter tank of gas and we signed paperwork authorizing test drives. The service manager stated he could call me at 4:15 that afternoon. As of Monday January 19th I still have not received at phone call. At no point in time was any paperwork signed authorizing the truck to leave the lot at Hilltop Chevy. I fully understand test drives are necessary for some diagnostic work however, since no paperwork was signed when the truck was dropped off I should have received a phone call requesting permission for the test drive. Furthermore, a 53 mile test drive is beyond excessive. I will no longer be brining my vehicle to Hilltop Chevy for service as the communication is subpar and they cannot be trusted to not take vehicles on excessive test drives.
This dealership puts a lot of effort into gaining trust. I bought a van from them that I planned on using on a roadtrip that was scheduled in a couple weeks. It ended up having transmission problems shortly after purchase. When I notified them, they put in every effort to fix the problem ultimately getting me in a new vehicle in time for the roadtrip. I was expecting a stereotypical “deal with it” response and got the complete opposite. I’m thrilled with the Chevy Equinox I ended up with and will absolutely be coming back in the future. The sales people are incentivized to close you, but they absolutely take care of you after the fact. Thank you Andrew, Mike, Bob, Colton, et all!
What an experience I went and talked with Bob the sales person told them what kind of truck I wanted. He got me that truck in two days very professional and the service was impeccable. I would go back to him again. This is my third truck I bought from him and he is a hell of a salesman. Nice job of you, Bob. Thank you, Ron Curriers Chevrolet Somersworth
I want to give the biggest shout out to Ben Miller as he took tremendous care of us! Our lifter went on our truck, and he helped fight the warranty company tooth and nail for us! He was excellent with communication and always keeping us posted with whatever update he got. I recommend him to anyone!
