I brought my truck to Shawnee Mission Ford for what should have been a simple tire replacement while towing my fifth wheel through town. I told them upfront that the tires were new and covered under warranty. Their response? “The guy who handles warranty work doesn’t work weekends.” Inconvenient, but understandable. What’s not understandable is everything that happened next. For the next several weeks and months, I followed up repeatedly. Every time, I was told the same thing: the warranty person was out sick or not available. They asked for my warranty paperwork multiple times, and I sent it every time. Despite several phone calls, voicemails, and text messages, I never received a single follow‑up, update, or resolution. At this point, it is clear they had no intention of honoring the warranty or even providing basic customer service. If you value communication, accountability, or professionalism, look elsewhere. Shawnee Mission Ford made a simple warranty claim feel like shouting into the void. Eight months later, still no resolution or contact.

What an amazing experience - had been waiting forever for recalled parts for my windshield. Finally I called the GM Blake who did some magic to get us the parts. Then Carlos our Service Advisor stepped in and did a FANTASTIC job. Friendly, courteuos and professional. Thank you SMF for making a rough day a great one!!
