Shepherd's Chevrolet GMC of Rochester

I was disappointed with the lack of service in the service department at Shepherd's GMC Rochester. I had a specialty warranty policy, and I had to take my truck to a dealership to get it fixed (at no cost). I chose Shepherd's in GMC Rochester and spoke to Doug. After "looking" at my vehicle, Doug stated that there is so much more going on with it than just the special warranty coverage. Keep in mind, there had been no deep dive into the truck at all, just ran the diagnostics. If there was, this would have been covered by the special warranty policy. Doug called and stated it would be $150/hour to do just that. There was completely no motivation to repair my truck. Unfortunately, I picked my truck up and took it somewhere where I would be taken seriously. Unfortunately, that had to be over an hour from my home in Fort Wayne. However, Tom Kelley GMC assured me that it was covered, and they would get it fixed at no cost to me. I got my truck in right away, diagnosed it, communicated with me throughout the entire process and found that it was ONLY the special warranty policy (purge pump valve) that was causing all the codes to fire. I was in and out the same day. AMAZING! My truck is back in tip-top shape thanks to Tom Kelley. It is worth the drive to Fort Wayne to deal with reputable and honest people!

Was able to purchase car smoothly through the phone. Had a misunderstanding at the dealership but Phill was able to take care of me after and maintain professionalism. Good business goes along way with me and will be back when I’m ready to purchase my next truck.

David Murphy did a great job working with my mom. His patience and how he explained everything made a stressful situation for her as stress free as possible. He took the time to answer all of her questions and she knows to stop by if she has any problems.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE ! 5 STARS PLUS ! My wife and I were looking around for a new 1 ton dually diesel crew cab pick up and we were striking out everywhere we went, whether in person or online. Then we found what we were looking for on SHEPERD'S website. We left an online message over the weekend that we were interested in one of their trucks that we saw in stock, and come the following Monday morning, we received a call from Chris, one of the salesmen at SHEPERD'S. When we told Chris what we were looking for, he confirmed that they did in fact have the truck at their other dealership, and he could have it transferred to the Rochester store. We made an approximately 50 mile drive to the Rochester store, met Chris at the door and started the process. We traded in our old truck with no hassle, listened to what SHEPERD'S had to offer, and in the end drove home that day with our new truck. Chris, along with Brett, completed the hassle free purchase of this truck, to our liking. Everyone in the dealership were very friendly, respectful, and helpful in any way they could. We will be replacing another truck in the next year or two, and we will DEFINITELY go back to SHEPERD'S Chevy / GMC for the purchase. Our new truck is the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD with the 6.6 Duramax diesel and Allison 10 speed automatic transmission. This is the full size crew cab with the 8' pickup bed. Called about a truck and was told I could come look at it the next morning just to be lied to and them sell the truck out from underneath me after I spoke for the truck. I will NEVER do business with them an will not recommend them to anyone.
