⚠️ Buyer Beware – Connecticut Car Dealership Scam I’m writing this review to warn anyone looking to buy a car in Connecticut. My experience at this dealership was dishonest, frustrating, and completely unprofessional. 1️⃣ Financing Scam: They tried to override my pre-approved bank financing to push me into a higher interest rate through their dealership. I left and secured financing through my trusted local credit union to get the proper rate. This is a classic rip-off tactic. 2️⃣ Price Manipulation: The negotiated price was only valid if I financed through the dealership. I had to force their hand by arranging my own financing just to get the price I was promised. “price only with dealer financing,” consider it a warning sign. 3️⃣ Vehicle Downgrade & Ignored Issues: My car came with two-piece rotors, but when I brought it back for vibration while braking, they replaced them with one-piece rotors without asking me, a clear downgrade. When I reported noise and squealing, they refused to fix it, citing a Google review I left. It took over a week to even respond—and they still did nothing. Bottom line: This dealership engages in shady financing, deceptive pricing, equipment downgrades without consent, and ignores legitimate customer concerns. If you’re searching for a Connecticut car dealership that doesn’t scam buyers, look elsewhere. I left this review intentionally so other buyers are fully aware before stepping onto this lot. We had a great experience at Shoreline Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. They have a great selection of vehicles. We ended up buying a completely different make and model than we came in to look at. The pricing is also very competitive. We didn’t feel pressured by any of the staff. Matt was extremely helpful and was very gracious to stay two hours past closing to help us seal the deal on our 2019 VW Atlas. We will definitely be recommending them!

Salesman Matt Burris was very accommodating with my physical limitations and made the purchasing process very easy. He and Christos the finance officer were extremely nice and quite pleasant to deal with making the decision to buy my new to me used car easy. I would easily recommend that you should give them a chance to earn your business. The was pretty good sized and the selection of cars, trucks and jeeps, both new and used was very good. Stop in and check them out.

I have been purchasing and servicing my vehicles at Shoreline for years now. My parents just purchased a vehicle and I recently purchased a pristine Audi S3. From sales to service, you can’t beat this dealership. I am not just a name or another customer off the street when I step on that property. I am treated like family. If I have concerns, they are addressed immediately when I purchase, it’s the easiest I think I have ever experienced. Sean and staff are top notch. I won’t go any place else EVER!
